Lost in Beauty

Pandemonia and Snowy felt the need to step out & mingle.

So, they hopped in a cab, to Primrose Hill's mecca-of all things healthy and beautiful "Lost In Beauty" 117 Regents Park Road, NW1 8UR.

Where, tonight's celebratory party, was for winning the Telegraph/Mary Portas award, The Best Independent Beauty shop.

On entering this sumptuous emporium, Pandemonia and Snowy discovered why they'd won.

The store resembled a Dr Who manifestation, that of a pretty Victorian Apothecary's den for fashionable females.

Equipped with antique display cabinets, a magnificent chandelier, old wall lights, posters and photographs.

This dream Pandemonia had entered, was extended, when P sipped the 500 year old Czech witches brew-a Babicka Vodka cocktail, doled out, by the founder and owner of LIB, Georgie Hamed.

Georgie reflected a well-groomed 2012 female and wasted no time in explaining, " that apart from regular treatments, our studio also specialise in glamorous bespoke parties, for up to 20 people, for girly Hen nights and birthday party's, to intimate baby showers and the occasional teen celebrations".

A haven, P thought, for her girlfriends, who adore having expert therapist pamper them.

Georgie took a gentle hold of Snowy and steered P&S down stairs, to the cleared area, for dancing.

There she introduced Pandemonia to Daniel Poole, a man of many talents, from fashion, Interior and costume designing.

Daniel blurted out, "your incredible art form, I want you to do something at my gallery". P blushed and replied yes.

P&S returned to the ground level, where Pandemoina took a peek into the glass cabinets, housing some of Jade Jagger's jewellery.

Yes, Ms Jagger had a pop up shop-within LIB, from 8-12 December, showcasing her disco inspired gems.

Cupids Arrows - Use these for certain success on the dance floor.

These were snapped up by the local's, so, JJ has extended the pop up, for another week.

Pandemonia then had a chat with fellow artist Inkie.

This Bristol lad, now resides in London and has garnered a global following, after taking part in worldwide tour with Belvedere and Jade (her again) Jagger.

On the tour, Inkie participated in live events, painting large canvases at star studded bashes in London, Los Angeles and New York.

His work was also featured in the VIP room at the Canes Film Festival.

And tonight Inkie retorted, "I did the artwork for this evenings Lost in Beauty invites and I also painted the 6X8 feet window".

Both of which bear his indelible graffiti trademark.

P rub shoulders next, with ex Harrods employee Irene Yong.

Irene was as intrigued in Pandemonia, as P was to meet this waxing maestro.

After I run her hands over P, IY let it slip-with gesturers, pointing to her lip and just below her nether regions "I'm on hand 2 days a week, and can remove any hair from a lip for £10, to Brazilian/Hollywood for £45.

Not that either Pandemoina or Snowy felt they needed any of IY services.

But, if ever P&S hair starts materialising in a Julia Roberts kinda way, they'll be back to see her, in a flash.

Pandemonia's eye's drifted, to the latest artist exhibition of paintings decorating the walls, by Jennifer Louise Martin, entitled "Retro Beauty".

RB is Jennifer's creative view, is of some 1960' babes, from Britt Ekland to Jean Shrimpton, to, todays supermodel Kate Moss.

JLM depicts these beautiful women with their mascara and make-up streaking down their feline faces, as if they've just escaped a sauna, after stepping through the wrong door.

Jen confessed, my technique, is to let the paint run, and run it did, down all 9 canvases on show.

"A vision you'll rarely see now-a-days, since every major cosmetic house have waterproof mascara and face powder's", expounded Irene Moore, PR for Bobbi Brown makeup.

Its a sight to see and will run from 14 December to Mid February 2012.

And for those people who prefer to have their eyelashes tinted.

LIB have the authoritative brow threading mistress Rekha Joshi, who at the blink of an eye, can whip an ungainly brow, into shapely masterpiece and dye your lashes to.

If thats not your bag, "Lost in Beauty" have all bases covered, with Paperself, these are spectacular paper eyelashes, that Pandemonia spotted, were all the rage with fashion editors, during London Fashion Week.

Snowy's tummy rumbled at the sight of Ooh Lou Lou cupcakes on a plate.

P span around and noticed they were the creations of princess of cupcake land, Lulu.

Lulu, is a star cake maker, for Jonathan Ross show VIP green room guests.

The show has previously commissioned Lulu, to make a cake for Lady Gaga and this week it's Tom Cruise turn.

Pandemonia and Snowy can't wait to see what Lulu will rustle up for them.

Turning away, P spotted the gorgeous looking singer, songwriter, Rachel Stevens with her pal and personal trainer Fern Bayliss.

The girls were being girls, at the make-up counter.

That done Rachel divulged, I'm working on new album and came tonight, to see if another invited guest, Jay Kay would show".

Ms Steven's continued to say "if he did & he was free, I was proposing to ask him to collaborate with me on my new CD".

We, all know JK, has eye for good thing, so if your reading this Jay, Pandemonia recommends you give Rachel a call.

And, fuel our imagination more, with the music you two beauties could make together.

Exiting the gathering, P &S said their final farewell's, to all the Lost in Beauty team, who'd educated Pandemonia & Snowy on the current offers available, in the art of maintaining a neat and elegant appearance.

Back at Pandemonia & Snowy lair. P&S were thrown into a dilemma-with information over load, on deciding which products they could use, to give their skin and hair a more healthy shine, before venturing out the door for your event.

In the oh-so civilised setting of Sam Taylor Wood's candlelit East London Loft studio, the last thing we expected to see at the Jack du Rose Danger Collection launch was 7ft woman covered head to toe in latex and clutching an inflatable fox terror. On second glance, we realised it was Pandemonia, the mysterious conceptual artist who manages to cause a stir wherever she pops up. But by far the biggest highlight was her dog Snowy, who was petted by guests including Amy Molyneaux and Andrea Dellal as they chatted to the blonde caricature at the Jewellery launch. What we drank: Ruinart champagne.

A Night with Nick

Pandemonia & Snowy had a really challenging decision on what to wear, to Celebrity Style Expert Nick Ede soiree, at Swarovski Crystallized Lounge, W1.

P chose the orange dress she wore during London Fashion Week, to PPQ fashion show and Snowy went for his favourite red dog collar.

P scooped up with Snowy and they raced across town, to the Swarovski shop, there, P&S scaled the stairs leading to the lounge, with the undisputed party Princess, Zoe Griffin, in her rock chic outfit.

Zoe let it slip, "this is ADD the 3d year Swarovski Crystallized have sponsored Nick charity event, and its always a fashion feast".

At the lounge, Pandemonia was greeted by the host Mr Nick Ede, with a glass of thirst quenching Nicholas Feuillate Champagne.

Nick was togged up in Ted Baker velvet Jacket, over a Christian Dior waistcoat and Uniqlo white t-shirt, Burberry trousers and a pair of Gaspard £300 shoes.

Nick disclosed, "I've been hosting this annual charity event, that was set up 14 years ago, to raise awareness for The Stroke Association, I came on board, after loosing my mum after her stroke".

A truly sad tale, though this event, P had been briefed, are always upbeat and in keeping with Nick's effervescent personality & tonight was no exception.

Pandemonia and Snowy were overjoyed to see the other guests, resembled a runway TV special, with Ian Carmichael HRH The Queen hairdresser, following Mr Ede mode of dress example.

Ian looked really dapper in his ensemble, a look P&S felt, if her Majesty were here tonight, she'd whip out that royal ceremonial sword of her's and give him a knighthood, on the spot.

Another graceful eyeful, was flagged up by "Loose Women" panellist Denise Welch , in a floor length sliver dress.

Denise was displaying her motherly affections when meeting Pandemonia and Snowy, and declared, "your both amazing" & gave Snowy a extra soft maternal cuddle.

In search of a Champagne top up, P caught glimpse of Mr Henry Conway getting a refill.

P clinked glasses with the seductive Lizzie Cundy.

Lizzie confessed, she's a glamour gal and tonight she pushed the boat out for her mate Nick. P&S agreed, seeing Ms Cundy in a "Bunmi Koko" black sequin and silk chiffon dress, black suede "Roberto Cavali " high heels teamed with white Swarovski crystal and black enamel ring.

A vision that drew a few men, to form a scrum around her and eased P&S out of the picture.

A welcome move, that enabled P to grab a quick chat, with TV fashion guru Brix Smith Start. Brix had tipped up in a black designer dress, Acne booties, all from Start-London boutique and a Mulberry bag thrown over the shoulder.

All was going well, until P spied BSS eyeing up Snowy, thinking Mrs Smith Start was going to add S, to her must have accessories shopping list.

Pandemonia shifted, and went toe-toe with the delightful Tara Palmer Tompkinson.

Tara stated she's not going out much these days, unless it worth while, obviously, this gig was.

And tonight Tara pulled out all the stops, in her Joseph white tailored dress, teamed with some Burberry accessories and the family bijoux heirlooms.

Before disappearing into the crowd, TPT discreetly whispered an invite to Pandemoina and Snowy, to TP next party. Now that be fun.

P attention was next drawn to the blond glamorous Millie Mackintosh star "Made in Chelsea" reality show, in a Herve Leger gold tight fitting bandage dress and Kurt Geiger shoes. Trailing behind the "Pru For Food" tray of eats.

Not that Snowy thought she could devour a morsel, in her figure hugging number.

Looking every part a Soul Diva, Kym Mazelle, sidled up to P&S.

Kym, gave P a news update on her career, apart from appearing on TV in various guises, she's been flexing her vocal cords, when she Headlined Liverpool Pride on August 6, this year.

News over, KM quit them both, to follow Bobby Sabel, Elite male model and Big Brother contestant, lead and head for the bar, for another tipple.

Next, P caught up with Lisa Snowden, Lisa cut a dash in her black cropped vintage cape, over a black halter neck top from her pal and Reiss glitzy leggings.

LS confessed to P&S she's "over the moon", why P asked? "because I've landed another years contract with Marks and Spencer and Capital Radio, and I can't wait for January, when I start to work with Dave Berry my new co-host".

P moved from one radio star, to another, Radio and TV show host Vanessa Feltz, who'd strolled in, in real white fur coat, thrown over a black Fenn Wright Manson dress, with her handsome partner, in a sharp two tone blue, slim fit suit.

Vanessa told Pandemonia "I'll be plugging this tomorrow, on my 9am-noon Radio London 94.9fm show". Go Girl.

It was then time for performances from James ‘Arg’ Argent from "The Only Way is Essex ", who had his co star of the show Gemma Collins to support him and the next up was the dynamic Dionne Bromfield, God daughter of the late Amy Winehouse, who blew people away with her soulfull vocal range.

To an equally more moving moment, a speech, by a young stroke victim, who, won everyone's heart, with her recovery story.

Then the young lady presented our evenings host Nick, with a "Stroke Association" lifetime achievement award, to the delight of everyone.

NE has knack of keeping the positive rolling.

He grabbed the mike and informed the crowd, to snap up their goodie bags at the exit, and they can continue to party.

At the iconic rock star's, Iron Maiden's, favourite london crash boutique pad, Sanctum Hotel Soho, hosted by eternal rocker Mark Fuller .

Much as Pandemonia knew Snowy loved to carry on, it was a school night, so, they congratulated Nick on a superb shindig and they drifted off to the night, wondering, whatever next?

Stitch, Art For The Earth

Snowy was eager and ready to roll out the door, when Pandemonia slipped on her killer high heels, to depart for "Art For The Earth" launch party at The Dairy, 7a Wakefield Street, WC1N 1PG

Pandemonia navigated the pot holes and cobbled pathway leading to the exhibition, to be enthusiastically greeted inside by the shows curator Catherine Loewe , who along with Max Gates Fleming from Stitch, were responsible for pulling together tonights silent auction of 50 pieces donated, from emerging to established artists, Darren Almond, Richard Long, Marc Quinn and Richard Wentworth.

Catherine handed P one of Organic Spirits tasty concoctions, then explained the show was about about drumming up moolah, from artists donations, for pressing global issues.

Pandemonia was then introduced by Catherine, to one of the contributing artist charming Sara Haq. Sara, frog marched P&S to her 2 photographs, one was a splendid colourful image of Jellyfish, that was a R-type print mounted on aluminium, that she hopes will sell for £700-£900, the another was a side head shot of of a crocodile in b&w hand print, mounted on foamed £2,800 - £3,500, that's one eye, stared back at all the guests. Sending a shiver down Snowy's spine.

From one photographic artist to another Fred Mann, ex Chelsea School of art, globetrotter.

Fred showed a giclee print "Mother", a photo collage taken from an old archive imagery, graphically illustrated using paper cutouts and digital manipulation edition of 1-15, at £400-£600 each.

Fred let slip it wasn't his mother, "but Mother Earth" who he sees, as been raped and pillaged.

Pandemonia covered Snowy's ears, from hearing any more of Fred's verbal graphic metaphors, and turn their attentions, to the dishy actor Ben Nealon.

Mr B Nealon, has graced the screens acting in Eastenders, Doctors,The Bill and Bollywood movie "Lagaan" with India's Brad Pit equivalent Aamir Khan.

Ben told P, "I'd taken a last year off acting, to focus on his charity "Pump Aid" to help raise awareness and funds, for clean water plumbing in desolate regions of the world, and "if ever I give up my day job, I'll chance my arm at plumbing".

For all millions of BN fans out there, don't despair, our handsome lad is returning back to the boards, in Ben Kenwright, Westend production of Agatha Christie's "Murder on The Nile" 2012.

Even better news for ugly plumbers, now they can sleep at night knowing desperate housewives choice Ben, is not taking up their profession.

The next exhibitor to cross paths with P, was Hugo Salvaterra.

Hugo's 2 snaps, weren't your "ECO cliches" they were about his new found fervor in life, plastic bags and their plight. 59x42 cm at £500-£600

Hugo feels he's captured the soul of plastic bags and feels we should empathise with their welfare.

P&S agreed wholeheartedly, upon seeing his photo image of model's body wrapped in masses of plastic bags, that took on the form of a 1950's A-line women's dress shape.

A mock frock, that if lady Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti were here tonight, would be equally inspired by.

Snowy and P, grab a quite moment for a quick shifty Marc Quinn 14x10cm digital file printed as glossy photograph "Unnatural World, that Marc expects to get £800-£1200 for the cause.

P headed for another drink, where her attention was drawn to the right hand side of the bar, and the work of another blond, Lucy Morley .

Together, these two, were a real spectacle.

Over a drink, Lucy gave P the insight of her art piece, entitled 24,000.

This is a 24,000 ink drawing on recycled paper, that depicted the cellular structure of a twig from a branch, revealing it's hidden veins, that feeds water to the tree. 150x150 £1800-£2200

A labour of love, that turned out to be, a kinda homage to her professors at University Collage Falmouth, that lectured Lucy and her 3 fellow students, on the first MA Arts and Environment degree program.

Having been bitten by nature of the woods, Lucy confessed, "I want to make her own paper out reclaimed pulp". P&S cant wait to see LM end product.

P left the gorgeous blond modern day Alice in Wonderland-Lucy, for a brief chat with another bleached blond bombshell, leather clad artist, David Holland.

David was on fine form and told P to take a gander a his work of art, entitled, "Hurt, Agony, Pain Love-it, Pride", acrylic on canvas painting, he hope's to flog for £14000-£16000.

Quick as a flash P&S spied Mr Holland realistic butcher shop hanging, of upside down meat and flesh, the sight of which, caused Snowy tummy to rumble, indicting it was way past supper time.

A final lap, with P&S takng a peek at screening room film, followed by gander at Maria Papadimitriou "Plastic Seconds" necklaces, one of tops and pearls & the other a light bulb pendent, that were a sure seller at £10 - £20 a pop.

Then P&S said their farewell's and made a dash for home, for a bite to eat and curl up on the sofa & where Pandemonia read Snowy this weeks fav bed time story.

Danger, Jack Du Rose

Pandemonia and Snowy took to the streets, this time, for Jack Du Rose launch of DuRose: "Danger" exhibition, at Sam Taylor-Wood Studio.

On entering the show, P & S had a big surprise. Mr Jack Du Rose, who worked with Damian Hirst on the Iconic diamond skull "For The Love of God" had created was a splendid mini zoo, creeping and crawling with reptiles, spiders, jellyfish and more, in fact, complete with everything Trazan knows and treasures. The stuff that makes a city girl shriek!

Not for that faith hearted damsel, this evening was for the up town city fearless chic, (the ones who could take on Crocodile Dundee).

P, clutched her glass of delicious Ruinart champagne, when perusing Jack Du Rose handy work, and what exquisite work it was, from pair of glowing fluorescent jellyfish rings, yes rings, with luminous diamonds and ruby's that were enough to make any Aristocrat, develop sticky fingers, (the show retained Du Rose taxidermist eerie vibe, by encasing every exhibit in a Portland Oregan-based, glass artist Andy Paiko, individual designed glass bell jars) to the perfect cure for any arachnophobic, a tangled webbed diamond necklace with a redundant black widow gem encrusted spider as a centre piece.

Pandemonia got nudged, by the adorable Amy Molyneaux, founder of UK fashion label PPQ. Amy went into raptures over the blue ringed Octopus with its golden sapphire and cognac, champagne and white diamond tentacles, with opal eyes. And then proceed to say, "I'm hunting for new studio near to centre of London". So to all you W1 estate agents out there, give Ms M a call. You may strike lucky?

Another fine looking gal appeared at P's side, Annie Monroe from the Los Angeles band The Like. Annie chewed the fat on how she's found another way to supplement her income when not gigging; part time acting, and she's already landed a film role. P thought with all Ms Monroe surplus cash, I bet she'll make off with the deadly cyanide Moth with pink and white diamonds. Very Rock & Roll.

Libby Galvin Daily Mail sub editor and her walker Henry Blanchard. The pair entrapped P and then Henry let it slip his fav JDR masterpiece was Dark Frog, why? because he said, "it was least obvious item of precious jewellery, with the frog hidden under a camouflage". A concealment made up of rarest lagoon tourmaline, mandarin garnet and verdant green emerald, that would attract any smart Princess to keep this frog, instead of kissing it and getting a dull Prince.

The next encounter Pandemoina had, was with ex Brazilian model and wife of property tycoon Guy Dellal, the incomparably stylish Andrea, with her equally on trend girlfriend Carolina Overmeer, both of whom mirrored the pages of Harpers Bazaar and Vogue. Andrea was sporting a orchid pendent necklace from Mr J Rose, which Mrs A Dellal confessed, was a gift from the designer, before inviting P to meet the man of the moment.

And for all you uninitiated fans of Jack's incredible fine work, your in for real as awaking, as did some of the other guests. Jack has the hallmark of a handsome, hunky, prop forward Rugby player, rather than skinny jeweller. Snowy was a bit apprehensive to meet him, thinking J was eyeing him up as next show piece. But Jack gave him a friendly giant smile and a gentle reassuring cuddle. A sight that lead some of the girls and a few of the guys wish they were Snowy.

Then Pandemonia notice Snow was shaking with excitement. He had spotted London clubland party promoter Henry Conway, heading their way. But Henry side stepped them, when he saw The Golden Lion exhibit. Only to return and say P & S they're both welcome any time at his club nights. This made Snowy's evening.

P couldn't leave without say farewell to Benjamin Spicer UK Sales Manager for Calvin Klein and his best mate Scott Mellis from Mission PR. Scott met P at exit and presented Pandemonia with a goodie bag, containing a treat from the Mr JDR, a gift Snowy took an immediate shine to, in the cab, on their way home.

P&S had a splendid night out in the urban jungle better known as London.

Rinaldo Bigi "The Sunlight of My Heritage"

After the London 6 o'clock news, Pandemonia listen to the capital's weather forecast, the announcement was, a dry, cool, crisp evening ahead. So P delved into her extensive wardrobe for a appropriate red dress, checked her seams in the mirror, roused Snowy from the comfy sofa, and then they head out, to artist Rinaldo Bigi "The Sunlight of My Heritage" exhibition, at Italian Cultural Institute, 39 Belgrave Square SW1X

At the entrance P collided with 40 years in the bis and International artist, Mr R Bigi, who confessed to sneaking outside for quick ciggie break. Bigi gave Pandemonia the low down on tonight's show, this is his latest colourful surreal works, spread over 2 floors, and are a mixture of his paintings & sculptures. P strode into the first level, only to discover the space was impregnable with heaving fans. So, P was delighted, when one of the most well connected women in Italian Art, Ms Rossana Pittelli, guided her to the upstairs level, where she took refuge at the set up bar.

Fortified with her glass of prosecco, P clinked glasses with Simone Muzi the fine jewellery designer of brand "Philosophy of Love" and his chic wife Karen Johnson, the Manager of Fratelli Rossetti, Sloane Street, UK flagship store. All three, swiftly lapsed into yattering on about 2 of P fav subjects, fine gems and shoes. Karen got P in a spin, when she started talking shop, about the merits of quality towering high heels. A subject dear to P heart.

While P, pondered her next high heel purchase, her trail of introspection was shattered by Fortunato Celi Zullo, Director of Italian Trade Commission who revealed he was enchanted to meet P, and as was P, him, knowing as Pandemonia did ITC organisation has been instrumental in sponsoring creative talent ventures. So could this be a chance for P, to get bank rolled for P future exhibition.

Before P could get another word in edgeways with Mr Zullo, artist Carola Syz eased her way in and said, "I wished I'd met Pandemonia before this evening, I would have invited you to all of my previous 4 shows I've had".

P smiled, and then was distracted from Carola, by the irresistible Cristina Polizzi & the adorable Petra Verschuere. This team, stepped up to congratulate P on her composure, having seen P in the firing line of guests for the past hour, and they had earwigged people asking P to attend everything, from a comic magazine show? to art Gallery owner Jane England of England and Co, finale night show, on 1 November. Jane was like a dog with a bone and went on to promise the evening will be quite a bash, before she lets her new tenant, LA fashion designer Jimmy Perse, son of fashion icon Tommy, take the space over and transform it into his UK flagship retail store.

Pandemonia, reassured the girls it was all in days work, before being side tracked by 2 hot Italian babes, Maria Giovanna Brauzzi and Sveva Milano. Both these hotties were sporting turquoise necklaces and cheeky grins, working their mock twin look, one that was equally misleading for all hot blooded male guests. Some of the lads, lost their ador, when they spied the gals slopping off, after giving P a friendly goodnight hug.

While continuing to amble around, P was joined Carlo Presenti, Director of the London Italian Cultural Institute, and his chums Marzia Carissimo Gibbs and her female contingent, for closer view, at the amazing canvas "ll Mistero Della Luna Con Un Tuffo Pieno D'amore". That done, they all surveyed the lay of the land and went their separate ways

Pandemonia, to connect with two art lovers and philanthropic angels, Olfat Esfandiari and her husband Richard. Olfat confessed, she's going to take a year sabbatical. Though P couldn't believe the twinkled eyed Olfat, could sit still for a minute, never mind 12 months. Then, the none verbal communication stepped in, with Ms O running her hands over P outfit and P clocking OE luxurious fur jacket, the one that O refused to check in, and who could blame her, it was a female lottery winners dream come true.

P attention was drawn to Snowy, who was behaving impeccably, and S had, had, the time of his life with genteel crowd, all of whom treat him like their long lost puppy.

Then P observed Snowy do a double take, upon spotting Mr R Bigi blond bomb shell marble sculpture "La Lulu si Fatta Bionda" after close inspection of this magnificent objet d'art. P reflected, she must get her hairdresser to give her the Scarlett Johansson side blond curl look, this spring/summer 2012, as opposed to the previous one side sleek orange one, P sported last summer.

On the way out, Pandemonia exchanged a few pleasantries with Lady Henrietta Rous, while Henrietta gave Snowy a departing fondle, before P waved goodbye to the dashing Riccardo Bigi, director of Imago Art Gallery, 4 Clifford St in Mayfair and agreed to attend his artist next show, while commandeering a cab to ferry the dynamic duo to their casa, in time to catch a late night American TV soap fix, before bedtime.

Security! Imposter! And sitting so Brazenly beside the real deal, too, calmly sipping champagne (while wearing rubber). That takes nerve. Jerry needs to get a copyright on her look, pronto. Oh, and get herself a fake Scottie.

Snowy had trouble containing himself, when he saw Pandemonia putting on her dancing shoes, knowing that P was taking him to the charming Andrew Hochhauser and Barbara Freites launch party, of Dance Umbrella 2011, at Jerwood Space, SE1 OLN

Stepping into the party, Pandemonia and Snowy were greeted by the adorable Ms Freites, who thrust into P's hand, a delicious glass of Fattoria la Vialla organic sparkling white wine. P smile and mused, a good start to the soiree.

P glided passed, 26 year old Mbulelo Ndabeni, the South African dancer and ex DU, who's now with Rambert Dance company. Mdulelo was telling his pal, his favourite dance piece is the "Rainforest" because it is, it so pure.

In the set up bar door way, P encountered ex Wimbledon and Chelsea Collage of Art and then Slade School of Art star, Artist Nick Hornby. Nick confessed, he'd spotted P on Tuesday night at the Macmillan De'Longhi Art Auction and thought P looked amazing then. Then the conversation, got into an artistic cat and mouse game, one that left poor Snowy out on a limb.

Mr Hornby and P chat ended, to listen, to Pandemonia, new best friend and Chairman of DU, Andrew, who gave his speech on the countless people who pledged their support and attended the lucrative fundraising events, and his gratitude to them, as a consequence, the Dance Umbrella will continue to survive in this present climate.

Speech's over, Mr Hochhauser came over and introduced P, to Betsy Gregory, Artist Director of Dance Umbrella. Betsey, P learnt, has, for the past 33 years, brought some of the most talented dances to London. Some of whom, were randomly performing amongst the lucky guests, during the cocktail.

While getting a refill at the bar, P and Eva Nijhof Head of Patrons of Covent Garden Development of Royal Opera House, got into heart to heart. Over a drink, Eva gave P a tip, on how a gal can rejig her wardrobe, tonight's example was Eve's hot yellow dress. E's swift method of giving this frock an update, was simple, she just lobbed off few inches and hey presto, a killer get up. This canny idea, sent P mind in whorl.

Only to come back to earth, when over hearing dancers Guila Montalbano and Richard Fredbory excitement, over getting to dance at Rosemary Lee, in public space, in Square Dances, Sat/Sun 8/9 October. Their enthusiasm was in the air and the place was awash with "young sparks" the in house vernacular, for fresh talented dancers.

Two dynamic young sparks Mareno Solainas and Igor Urzelai, from Bloom Dance Coleectives cornered P, and then proceed to tell P in stereophonic, that their friend Kate Forbes, Costume Designer-stylist, was a huge fan of P incredible wardrobe and Kate check's his website regularly.

P concealed her blushes, and switched their conversation back to them, to discovered that they'll be performing 'Alison Take Cover" A cover version of Richard Alstons piece "Wildlife" at 7pm on 19-21 Oct at The Place Studios 1+ 2.

P concluded, wild it'll be, when these 2 unorthodox studs do their rendition, lets hope Snowy doesn't get scared and hide under the seat.

The night was drawing to a close, when lumbering hunk, Skip from Skips Naked Health rolled up. Skip flexed his muscles and grabbed Snowy & gave him a firm cuddle. P, retrieved Snowy from Skip's steel grip and whispered in Snow's ear that Skip was really a gentle spiritual guy. Sensing it was all to much for Snowy, Pandemonia, blew a kiss to everyone and whisked her darling pet into a cab for home, in time for their scrumptious late super.

Macmillan De'Longhi Art Auction

As the last key turned in the lock of a luxury Bond Street store and the security hum faded away until the follow day, an erie ghost town air enveloped the street.

Only to be swept away later, by a breath of fresh air, when Pandemonia and her pal Snowy, stepped out of a cab, for the Macmillan De'Longhi Art Auction, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, at Bonhams, 101 New Bond Street.

Their spectacular arrival was met by barrage of flashes from the paparazzi, flanked both sides of the entrance.

Inside, relative calm was restored, when P sipped a glass of bubbly and had a convivial chat about the event, with Georgina Vaughan and Ellie Pitt, at the bar.

There to, P got the seal of approval on her ensemble, by Jacques Aszagury, fashion designer, to princesses and some of the richest women in the world, who flock to his Knightsbridge store.

Surrounded by amazing diverse artist's donations, while taking in all this art, Pandemonia bumped into, art collector Tor Faberland, who was there to snap up an item or 2.

During a top up of champagne, the forever effervescent art & doggie lover Helen Cody, joined P. After Helen telling P she looked wonderful, Ms Gody chewed the fat on her 2 canine's and could P advise her on how to train one of them, from not peeing on her bed. P was aghast, thinking how lucky she is, that her Snowy is house trained.

Then, it was time to join international female icon Jerry Hall in the auction room, Jerry was real lady and left it to another, to flag up her new book "My Life in a Pictures" instead she gave Snowy a gentle squeeze and resumed her seat before giving her welcoming speech.

This gave P a chance to checkout more of the works on show, one that tickled Snowy fancy was "Snowy" by Sara Le Roy.

P met, Andrew Hochhauser, another art lover, who let it slip, he was after 2 works, 1 by Jonathan Yeo, a screen print of Cassiopeia, that later was sold for £2000, to another bidder. Post show, Andrew said "he was happy, all this money goes to a good cause and that his mum died of cancer, so he's more than happy to part with his lolly".

Out in force was Sundeep Kunte, Anu Madan and Ambika Tandon, who P discover were there to part with their hard erned cash, if Sundeep relentless bidding was anything to go by, during the auction.

Just before Jerry kicked off the auction, De'longhi committee member and artist Gavin Turk, told P, he'd dropped in a last min donation, a black ink on card work entailed Mademoiselle that expected price was £500-£800.

And it was finale offer of the night and brought a smile to everyones faces, when it exceeded the reserve price and was bought for £2200 to delight and rapturous applause for the crowd.

After the gig, P and Snowy sailed off into the night.

A New Breed of Celebrity Culture: Pandemonia

In a world obsessed with celebrity culture and consumerism, its hardly surprising that artists would begin to exploit this, and turn it around for their own benefit and reputation - a very clever tactic to employ.

Meet Pandemonia, a 7ft inflatable latex outfit/creation by an anonymous artist/designer, who's purpose is still not fully known, but from what I can establish, the idea is to highlight the ridiculous nature of celebrity culture, and portray how the pursuit of perfection is a constant and never ending battle.

At the moment, you may be completely unaware of Pandemonia - I only stumbled across her in an article for Stylist Magazine which I was reading on my way to work - Thankfully she hasn't hit the world of 'celebrity' magazines, and is remaining more of a art piece at high-end events, such as London Fashion Week and exhibition openings. However, was this all part of the plan? Did the inventor of Pandemonia want her creation to be a high-end, untouchable celebrity figure, so that she would receive recognition from world renowned designers? Or is this just the start?

In my opinion, any piece of art that creates controversy is good, as it gets people talking - or in this case, gets the work 'famous'. The ambiguity surrounding Pandemonia is also very intriguing, as there are aspects of the design that are totally unique, for example, the concept of creating an outfit, that actually becomes a character and brand identity all in its own right, is very clever indeed, yet the physical design of a tall, plastic, size zero, blond bombshell is a stereotypical 'celebrity look' - but then again, is that the whole point? - To mock the system?

In an interview with Vice Style, Pandemonia spoke of her fear of 'deflation' and wanting to stay unique; otherwise she would 'lose her irony and possibly become fashion'. But does this mean she succumbed to the cut throat world of celebrity, and wanting more than 5 minutes of fame? There are so many things about this creation that seem to be a contradiction!

In terms of longevity, I think this is just the beginning, but whether this is a breakthrough art movement in the making remains to be seen. However, with exposure on the increase, the word on everyone's lips is sure to be, 'Pandemonia'. If only we knew what it all meant...

On the last day of London Fashon week Pandemonia flew the flag. Arriving by taxi she threaded her way through the clouds of onlookers at Somerset House. With her well behaved pup, who has far better manners than Sundays Mulberry hound.

At Summerset House, P took her front row seat, next Chris Davies, Chris is one of Michiko Koshino right hand men.

The lights went down then up again and what P eyeballed, was what designer duo Koji Maruyama and Marjan Pejoski vision of their KTZ label.

This was a mixture of homage African bead work and a nod to bondage leather wear.

One story, was the photo image print of multi coloured African beads on dresses, skirts, trousers and tops, on either a black stretch fabric, cotton or chiffon, though P favoured the print on the pink dress, with matching physical necklace thrown on top.

The 2d story, was leather harnesses, on bare chested buffed guys and gals, to leather straps with large d-rings, running across the chest, down 2 sides of trousers or shorts, or belted around the chest or waist, to a black mini leather bikini with smaller d-rings, that every pole dancer in town will be queuing up to buy.

Post show, P got cornered by a tasty chic, one that scared off P fan base, with her fence stance, luckily, the friendly, fearless, MA security team stepped in, to remind P about next show, this was Vivienne Westwood son, Joe Corrie label, "A Child of Jago" and P race off to the street.

Out on the street, Michael Hamble, colour co-ordinated cab driver, spotted P and ferried her, to Joe's show.

This years Child of Jago is branching out into Womensware. The collection was a rebelious Rock and roll with a twist of Dick Whittington. The Willton Hall was the perfect setting.

At the after show party she ran into 80's pop icon Adam Ant. They talked about music, their pets and the virtues of maintaining a good wardrobe, before Giving Viv a wave goodbye.

Zigzagging across town by cab she changed into yet another party dress, metallic green with matching ankle bracelets.

Attending the exclusive VIP Rolla Coaster party she waltzed out of London Fashion Week 2012 and disappeared into the city night.

The 7 foot tall plastic and latex pop artist, known as "Pandemonia", showed off her dynamic hairdo of a super sized beehive, that looks like a perfect ice cream cone from behind, and her stunning Platinum blonde curls at London Fashion Week 2011.

The secret recipe of its lustrous celebrity style bounce is supposed to be Helium.

The guest, who is hard to miss and provokes quite a reaction form the audience, has gone from London Fashion Week crasher to a celebrity guest in three seasons. Pop artist behind the concept made first public apperance as Pandemonia at Tracey Emin show at the White Cube in 2009. Identity behind the mask remains a secret as it is part of the concept. "We all hide behind masks of identity at some time; both in the real and the virtual world," - said Pandemonia in her interview by Stylist magazine.

Pandemonia changes her outfits and hair style from one show to another, but she always stays her very own celebrity - slim, tall, glossy, forever young and, of course, famous.

From outrageous clothes to cheeky geeks, our fashion team list some favourite moments from London Fashion Week.

Shock watch

There were plenty of outlandish clothes on display at LFW but two fashionistas stood out from the crowd.

Pandemonia is a 7ft latex-clad conceptual artist who comes complete with an inflatable toy terrier called Snowy, a much better behaved canine than the front-row dog that was barking throughout the Mulberry show on Sunday.

Jimmy Goldstein, or “Croc Man” as we have been calling him (owing to his love of suits made from reptiles), is something of a mystery to the British fashion press despite appearing at Paris and Milan shows. We saw him and Bip Ling at the Unique show, where he gave her a T-shirt ... with a picture of himself on it! At least that’s what it looked like from where we were sitting. Weird.

Design Collective Scotland SS 2012

Pandemonia got a last minute call from her pet dog minder, to say she was not able to babysit her canine.

So regardless, P donned her red party dress and with hound tucked under her arm, they headed to the Sanctum, London's Rock and Roll hotel.

At the hotel, P was ushered into the lift, it took her to the roofgarden, for Design Collective Scotland showcase of 4 designers at 8pm.

7.30 armed with a knock out cocktail, Pandemonia weaved her way through the crowd and met fashion designer Iona Crawford. Iona proceed to chat to P about her two favourite subjects, latex and dresses

At 8.15, P saw for herself, Iona intricate designed tailored gowns, with bespoke self-designed prints, that are not for the fate hearted, a combination that has become Ms I Crawford al a mode trademark.

As P eye's scanned Iona dress, she spied the footwear of 2d designer Emily Lamb, and thought neat shoes, and Emily's were worn by all 3 of her contemporaries designers models, showcasing the DCS group.

Next up, was Di Gilpin knits, these items she strives to create in sustainable clothing and in order to do this, she has commissioned her own organic yarns and fibres, all sourced in the United Kingdom. These yarns are used, to create, cropped, low sexy necklined, wrap around tops and wide legged, low slung pants.

Last designer to show, was Mark Ross, Mark ran out few of his dresses, two in jet black, one black 1 was floor length, silk satin, with a Grecian draped neck, the other black one was short leather frock with black studded 3" wide shoulder straps, and silver zip running down the back, this number brought gasps of lust from the women and some of the men too.

Towards the end of the night, there was a moment when P got tiny bit nervous,
when Di Gilpin told her pal she'd fallen for the plastic pooch, luckily P's pal Cristina Polizzi said "it was well past the little ones bed time" and Di handed over P prize procession and high tailed home, for their beauty sleep.

Ziad Ghanem SS 2012

After Shenzhen fashion fashion show, Pandemonia nipped into VFS media lounge to put her feet up and drink, Vita Coco coconut water of course.

There P met New York photographer Dennison Bertram , who had a quick snuggled up to Ms P pooch, before jetting off to Monti Carlo for glamours shoot on the Gucci yacht.

Rested, P scooped up her bag and hightailed it to Ziad Ghanem show, inspired by Polish film maker Matka Joanna.

The show was cinematic delight, from the opener, with young couple holding hands, that resembled extras from "Rocky Horror "cult movie.

The show then switched, to darker vamp side, with chic in black sheer chiffon dress with white veil, more in keeping with hammer horror.

Followed by equally macabre white face guy in high heels and red gloves, think Lindsey Kemp in black.

To a modern Pasolini Christ like figure, in black thorns crown, white lace top, half corset and jodhpur pants

In the middle of all this ballyhoo appeared a dainty young nymph, who came striding out straight from "Alice in Wonderland", who P discovered was Janet Younan, the designers favourite cousin.

Next Marnie Scarlet a saucy, Fellini gal in white latex balacalva, full white dress and red "splat" umbrella.

David Lynch type in a micro mini dress with cross ruffle. An Issac Julian hunk, wrapped in what resembled a Jackson Pollock painting.

To a statuesque John Walters kinda women/performer in ankle length opium red silk satin dress

At the end of the show, Pandemonia jumped a cab for home, to wash her hair, ready for another day of fashion.

Dressed in Marlboro Red Pandemonia drops in on The Rodnik Band.

Combining pop art and fashion, Philip Colbert’s sea world-inspired Spring 2012 The Rodnik Band collection included plenty of fantastically eye-catching garments. While some, like the sequin-made submarine dress and one with a crab peeking up from the top would be fitting for few aside from Lady Gaga, a fan of the brand, others like a mod-ish fish scale-inspired dress and Navy SEAL-inspired separates could easily translate into girl-about-town wardrobes (think Sienna Miller, also a fan of Colbert’s work).

Giving his designs a somewhat political message this season, the designer partnered with the Environmental Justice Foundation to create he says, “A strong message behind the clothes […] they are a leading Environmental charity, and have done amazing work to reduce Pirate fishing, which has greatly affected the worlds fish stocks, causing massive damage to the wider marine ecosystem and the food security and livelihoods of poor coastal communities in developing countries.” Colbert went on to explain that he’s always had an affinity for the aesthetic the sea – “from Fisherman’s outfits to sailors uniforms. ”

Meet Pandemonia, the quirky front row icon who has shaken up the fashion world.

At 7ft tall and covered head-to-toe in Latex, Pandemonia is hard to miss. Like the larger-than-life love child of Roy Lichtenstein and Jeff Koons, she is the creation of a very secretive, self-styled conceptual artist, and has gone from Fashion Week party crasher to VIP guest in three seasons. And the cult of Pandemonia is still gathering pace, with many guests ignoring hosts to approach the bombshell – usually breaking the ice by petting her inflatable dog, Snowy. Currently causing a stir on the front row of all the best shows at Fashion Week, she found time in her schedule to speak to Stylist…

We have to ask, are you willing to reveal who is behind the mask?

I’m just an idea. It’s irrelevant who is behind the mask. We all hide behind masks of identity at some time; both in the real and the virtual world.

When did you first become Pandemonia?

Back in 2008 the newspapers were full of celebrities. I was drawn towards creating art that documented our time. It seemed evident to me that the best way to parody this world would be to create my very own celebrity. I created a truly artificial one, in the spirit of consumerist values. Slim, tall, glossy, forever young and, of course, famous.

When was your first public appearance?

Gosh, I can’t remember. It really started when I brought it to the general public. I started going to gallery openings. I went to a Tracey Emin show at the White Cube [in 2009]. I guess it started then.

How did you first get invited to the front row at Fashion Week?

I was spotted at a party at the Metropolitan Hotel. The organisers insisted I attend. I think you have to be in the right place at the right time.

Who do you hang out with when you’re there?

The rich and famous… actually I chat to everyone.

What are your fashion rules for the front row?

Are there any?

How do you survive/prepare for Fashion Week?

Taxis and hot tubs.

What are your favourite shows?

I liked last September’s Charlie Le Mindu show the most. The hair dresses were breathtaking. I also enjoy Pam Hogg's shows. The ACNE show at Kensington Palace was very grand too.

Who do you think are the most interesting characters in fashion?

I met Philip Colbert of The Rodnik Band at Leon Max's Easton Neston Party. Philip’s work is very exciting. He’s doing a fashion version of Warhol’s Factory. Instead of paintings they are making dresses. He even did a Marcel Duchamp Urinal dress, but went a bit Claes Oldenburg if you know what I mean. Take a look at his fashion.

Do you think you have influenced any designers?

They tell me big hair is back in. Could that have something to do with me?

How long does it take you to get ready; from creating outfits to actually getting dressed?

My work takes months to create. My last hair sculpture had 74 intricately constructed panels.

What do they feel like to wear?

Superficial.

Do you think some people are intimidated by you?

You can always find people who are intimidated by the unknown. At least I provoke a reaction.

What sort of reaction do you get from the fashion pack?

I get a good response. They see a bit of them in me; the fashionista’s fashionista.

What wouldn’t you be seen dead in?

Cotton.

There’s a huge amount of discussion surrounding what Pandemonia stands for and what you’re trying to say. Are you making a fixed statement or are you open to interpretation?

Discussion is a good thing. Traditionally, art is illusive; does any one know the meaning of Mona Lisa’s smile and isn’t it all ‘in the eye of the beholder’ anyway? Can a person be a statement? Pandemonia is a cartoon reflection of metropolitan life in the 21st Century.

You talk about products being the new celebrities: conversely, how much do you think celebrities have become a product or brand themselves? Is your plastic nature a commentary on this?

Products hold the real power and celebrities are products in the media. Being a celebrity you have to manage your image in exactly the same way as a brand does. It’s only the branding that distinguishes one thing from another.

Presentation means everything and it all comes wrapped in plastic. Who needs content when the surface says it all? Commodities are no longer just things of use: they have become part of what we are. I went straight for that laminated look.

You’re placing yourself in the public eye in a huge way, but remaining anonymous at the same time. How do you deal with this duality and is it a deliberate comment on celebrity?

There’s nothing new about anonymity and being in the public eye. Just look at all the advertising. Those images are flawless, and you can’t get beyond the surface.

I live beyond my self as an act of self creation. I’m a conceptual artist presenting the concept of “A Pop Up Celebrity”. Like an advert, I am another image in the media. Pandemonia is a story with legs and mysteries make good copy.

You’ve talked about being the creation of the ideal female shape – blonde, leggy, thin. Are you deriding society’s obsession with feminine perfection or are you part of it?

I’m just as influenced by the current aesthetics as anyone else. I take everything at face value.

The nature of Pandemonia means that you’ll never age – you’ll forever be shiny and new. Are you therefore the ultimate celebrity?

Yes! I’ve taken it to its ultimate conclusion as another pre-packaged multi platform commodity. I work well in print, web, moving image and reality. Its catch up time for the cosmetics industry, they’ve missed a trick or two.

Would you say that becoming part of celebrity culture is the best way to comment on it, or is your immersion into the ‘it crowd’ just a way of getting yourself and your work known?

Definitely! I place myself in the public eye so that I have a bigger impact on objective culture. News is spread in the market place. Celebrities make good press and people relate to them so being one of them is like giving your ideas a free ride. In the glossiest of magazines my ideas get exhibited right next to their influences. And of course the ready made audience is a big bonus. You can’t just buy PR like that!

Are you ever going to reveal what’s behind the latex?

There’s nothing there; isn’t that the point?

VICE: Hey, How's it all going? What you wearing right now?

Pandemonia: Hey. I've just flown back from Athens where I was hanging with Charlie Le Mindu and Gareth Pugh at the ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion exhibition. Right now I’m wearing my Marlboro dress. It's my favorite creation. It sits in a space halfway between reality and advertising. When I wear it I am imbued with the force of nature, the power of the Marlboro mountain symbolizing freedom. The design has an underlying message of purity, strength, and the force of nature. When I wear the Marlboro brand I am tapping into the mythology and psychology of the brand image and the alchemy of advertising.

Yeah? And what does that feel like?

As an artist I try and be a reflection of the world. My existence is unlikely to change anything, but it is likely to make the world more interesting. I'm bringing to life popular myths and aspirations, such as being slim, tall, and glossy. We constantly modify and make nature better than it already is. Plastic surgery and photo manipulation are good examples of the fact that we're all seduced by illusion. The virtual is better than the real. That's why we like films and computer games so much.

Would you say fame was ever a pursuit of yours?

Fame is recognition. Just look at The X Factor. I designed myself as a logo, so I would be instantly recognizable. If you’re putting your ideas out there, fame gets you noticed quicker.

So this counter-person of yours is the celebrity and you’re viewing this elitist celebrity circle from behind a mask.

When I pop up in celebrity circles I can see the mechanism of fame from both the inside and outside. Just as celebrities presented their image to the public, I present the celebrities my image. At least I know I'm acting out celebrity. My dog, Snowy, breaks the ice. People relate to him. Funny how people relate to an inflatable dog, isn’t it?

Does it really suck that much being a celebrity, though?

Fame performs the function of village gossip. Popular media has experienced a great deal of expansion during the last century. As a species we’re moving into a new era - celebrity is only the beginning. At least with celebrity it focuses us on a set number of people, it gives us an anchor. In the future will there be celebrity as it is now or will it become dissipated through endless social networks?

Shit, yeah. So what would you say you personally fear?

Deflation. Luckily there's not much of it around at the moment. These days Inflation is still all the rage. That's good for me, it keeps me buoyant.

Most of your outfits are made out of rubber, would you say there’s a fetish aspect?

We’re all, to some degree, fetishist over commodities, lifestyle, and brands. We are programmed to reach for the unobtainable—which I am—and fetish is that one step further. Rubber in my case is used as a metaphor: it’s elastic like cartoon skin and shiny like a new car or jewelry.

But why was it that you chose to express your work through a female? Was it purely the design side of things or is there an underlying transgender voice to your work?

In art, the female form has always being rearranged and reworked—I like to replicate the world’s mechanisms. For example, advertisers use women because it gets the attention of both genders. I am working with symbols and male and female are binary forms. The ability to experience the other, to be able to stand outside yourself creates a different perspective. In using the female form I am undermining the image and pointing to its construction. The very identity of Pandemonia is a fabrication.

Which designers would you say you’re most inspired by?

Rob Janoff's Apple Computers logo and it's biblical connotations. From the apple seed grows the forest, it’s an organic whole, and the logo is so simple yet contains everything. Another favorite is the Nike Swoosh logo by
Carolyn Davidson which infers speed, victory, and the teacher’s tick of approval. It’s universal, people just get it.

So, if you were to have one designer design an outfit for you who would it be?

I met Philip Treacy at Boy George’s party and he wanted to do a collaboration with me. Sometime in the future you might see my blonde locks supporting one of his hats.

Awesome. And let’s say you were to bump into another version of Pandemonia at LFW this September, what would your reaction be?

Pandemonia has to stay unique or she will lose her irony and possibly become fashion.

Pandemonia has the wow factor. Or perhaps Pandemonia is the wow factor. The phenomenon of performance art, has been formulated under the name Pandemonia, into a larger-than-life cartoon character, with the intention of provoking a reaction, whilst at the same time being a reaction. The presence of this doll-like figure certainly commands your attention unlike any regular arty or eccentric character. Indeed, being head to toe in latex, seven feet tall, and all woman is enough to merit interest from those in the industry also trying to create an unusual ‘image’.

In fact, the industry rather like the cartoon created by the post-pop conceptual artist. Pandemonia has been spotted at film premieres, glossy on location photo shoots, and even Boy George's 50th birthday party last week. Her fans and friends include Kanye West's ex Amber Rose, Philip Tracy and Steve Strange. But, standing the challenges facing art and artists du jour, this walking piece of art must also resolve her existential purpose.

As a conceptual artist, the ideas behind the art take precedence over traditional material concerns, yet this does not detract from the aesthetic appreciation of Pandemonia’s silhouette and features. She describes these as quite traditional features. “It’s figurative; it’s concerned with our relationship between identity and the media and who we are in a changing landscape. As a celebrity, albeit an artificial celebrity, I am the glossiest celeb of the glossies. I fit right in.”

Alluding to her image being not merely part of fashion, but of celebrity culture too, it seems ambiguous as to whether she is an item of gossip, an icon, or an imaginary celebrity. But she clarifies that her “ideas come from the mass media so it makes scene to put them back in there. That way I am communicating to a ready audience.”

“The celebrity arena is a platform to exhibit my work. I am inside the idea and have become the medium. Celebrity is the face of the media. As a pseudo-celebrity, I am a construction of media aspirations and dreams – A copy in the world of illusion.” If the birth of an innovative product in an already saturated market, involves the right product, in the right place with the right promotion, then she seems to have got it impressively spot on.

Although the conceptual side is important to this walking Barbie, would artistic expression through other mediums such as painting have a bigger impact? “Oh yes, I used to exhibit paintings and drawings in traditional gallery spaces but they always seemed so old fashioned. Our 24-hour media world is a more exciting and modern place to be in. When you watch TV you can’t help but notice that people are only interested in other people, preferably celebrities.”

The value of the character compliments conceptual. The raw appearance of the character seems to juxtapose the female silhouette. But she says, “females are far more alluring. Everyone likes looking at the female form, look at Art, look at advertising. In the West, the female form is always being rearranged and re-worked, I am simply working within that time-honoured tradition.”

Pandemonia is ‘re-working’ the tradition with a re-generation fabric. Latex relates to an industry of latex condoms, rubber playsuits and fetish. But Pandemonia says that she uses it “because it’s shiny. All the best things are shiny – gold, diamonds, cars, magazines, gadgets. Shiny means fresh and new. Almost everything you buy now is wrapped in plastic so it must be good.” She has tapped out human sense of allure being a primitive sensation felt by all. But it’s not just latex that re-works the female form, as she has used denim in the silhouette too. “That material also has lots of conations. It’s mass-produced. It once symbolised the working class and became a fashion statement of the rebel. A symbol of freedom and individuality. Disenfranchised from its roots and re-cut by top fashion labels.”

As the story of Pandemonia unravels, it becomes apparent that her paramount expression and reaction is about self-awareness, which could be argued to characterize the celebrity industry itself. The inflated and fixated hairstyle, pop up chest and attention to details that includes matching shoes, bag and outfit co ordination can relate to any celebrity. But which celebrities in particular have looks which have been borrowed from? “I’m inspired by whoever is in the media at the moment, for a while it was
Paris Hilton. She’s perfect because she’s famous for nothing and she’s blonde. Today we are getting a lot of
Cheryl Cole. I wonder who will be next.”

I’m not sure whether she intends for the stark irony; at London Fashion Week her image bombarded the style pages, finding itself next to the very celebrities she takes inspiration from. She responds “People have interpreted me in all sorts of ways. My presence offers a subtext, a reflection on what is happening.”

But do the celebrities object to her social reflection, view this 3D inflated latex symbol as a mockery of their existence? “They are all receptive to my work, reactions run between amazement and amusement.” This refreshingly seems to epitomize how seriously we take the media, and how light heartedly the celebs categorise themselves

The three way relationship of audience, media and celebrity appears to show the power being dominantly placed at the celebrity’s feet. The inflatable items to the suit, such as the handbag and hairstyle represent the transience of celebrity shelf life. “My head and bags are empty they are only surface. It’s so easy not to look beyond the surface. I have thought about inflating other areas but I think it’s important to stay elegant.

“My Marlboro dress is my favourite creation. It sits in a space halfway between reality and advertising. When I wear it I am imbued with the force of nature, the power of the Marlboro mountain. I am inside the medium. The alchemy of myth and advertising entwine and fuse together around me.”

The consistent focus on a rather brand categorised industry, I find myself trying to remember Pandemonia as ‘artwork’ rather than ‘product’. However, her most profound expression is to view celebrity culture as a market, but rather as an artistic expression. All surface, with hidden substance, in which Pandemonia appears to have created a perfect positioning of herself in our culture.

One of the most provocative figures of contemporary art has visited Greece for the exhibition’s ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion opening at the Benaki Museum. In the streets of Athens, Pandemonia has created a project especially for SOUL.

Pandemonia: a tall, plastic, ironic incarnation of contemporary pop culture. Covered from head to toe in latex, she is provoking since some time ago the established art scene by wearing self-invented costumes, presenting herself in high interest exhibitions and achieving features in internationally renowned magazines.

It’s about a living pop phenomenon that has visited our country in May 14th in order to attend the exhibition’s ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion opening and to take part in Atopic Bodies [FIVE]: The Monsters’ Ball, a fashion performance specially conceived by the ATOPOS CVC team for that night.

We followed her minute by minute.

Soul: What was your relation to art, before adopting the identity of Pandemonia? When did that happen, and how did you decide upon it?

Pandemonia:I used to exhibit in traditional gallery spaces but they always seemed so old fashioned. Our 24-hour media world is a more exciting and modern place to be in. When you watch TV you can't help but notice that people are only actually interested in other people, preferably celebrities.
I now chose the celebrity arena as a platform to exhibit my work. I am inside the idea and have become the medium. Celebrity is the face of the media. As a pseudo-celebrity I am a construction of media aspirations and dreams - A copy in the world of illusion.

Soul: Your earliest appearances must have been quite a shock to spectators. What were their initial reactions?

Pandemonia: I did turn a few heads. Just like now, they still love to photograph me. I met all sorts of people. It was fun meeting Boy George.

Soul: How difficult a procedure has it been, establishing yourself within the art world?

Pandemonia: I just didn't bother with the art world. Have you heard that phrase “cut out the middle man?” well; I showed my work directly to the public and got press. To me it’s more relevant to be in the glossy magazines where a larger audience can see my work and ideas. That’s the right kind of audience. Anyway, I copied my ideas straight out of the magazines so it’s fitting to put them back in. It’s all give and take. That's how creativity works.
Recently, I was approached by the Aubin Gallery in London to do a show which we are currently working on. It is going to be a sculpture show; Fine Art collides with Fashion - Post Pop parody. Its only now, that I have some press that it makes sense to do a show in an Art gallery again. I will invite the press and all the celebrities I have met, to the opening. The show will be a PR event in itself. It will look good in the magazines!

Soul: Is Pandemonia a way of saying that modern culture is all surface and no substance?

Pandemonia: Of course I am all surface and no substance, I'm inflatable! Sure, modern culture has substance; it’s a manifestation of the market interests. I'm discovering all these products for desires I never knew I had. You can now find something new about yourself just form going to the supermarket. Is that what they call “shelf realization”?

Soul: How close do you feel with Andy Warhol’s philosophy about life and art?

Pandemonia: Warhol would probably describe his philosophy as about nothing! Although Warhol’s work was 40 years ago its still relevant today. He opened up a new door for many artists - Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Ashley Bikerton, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Damien Hirst and Takashi Murakami etc just to name a few that were influenced by him. He took Art back down from its pedestal and made work about the world around us.
Warhol is inspirational, and prophetic of what was to come. The world has changed since his time.
The Internet, media and economics are impacting on our continuously changing world. I am interested in the philosophy of
Judith Butler and Jean Baudrillard - the age old questions of who we are, our relationship to ourselves and our environment.

Soul: You have said that,“products are the new superstars”. Would you care to expand on that matter?

Pandemonia: Products underpin everything at the moment; they are now the movers and shakers. It’s no longer what’s No1 in the charts or who's your favorite film star. Now it’s iPhone verses Blackberry. Ducati vs. BMW. When I saw the film Tron Legacy the only legacy I remembered was Daft Punk and Ducati. “Tron, the story of a Ducati rider listening to Daft Punks latest album”. Its not what you’re into, it’s what you got. Its not often you can take you favorite film star home with you, but you can drive home on your new Ducati, snuggle up to you new ipad and listen to Daft Punk. Now we are defined by what we buy.

Soul: Do you believe that we the people have a say on fashion or culture anymore? Or is it dictated to us by the media and advertizing corporations?

Pandemonia: We are all under the illusion of the American Dream – “we make the choices and define our lives.”
When I go shopping I cant help thinking, all the “choices” have already been decided years ago. That's why everything looks the same.
I guess someone should know what he or she is doing. Imagine a world where everyone followed my fashion tips. There would be a lot more big wigs about, and that never helps decision-making and mass production. They would have to start making all the doors wider and the taxis bigger. Every one would look nice and glossy like they stepped out from a magazine.
Industry is so big now and its elements so fragmented, around the world all the decisions have to be made in advance. Culture is new a way of selling more. It’s the way they produce things nowadays.
I do my hair down stairs and make my legs up stairs and my dresses in another room. Sometimes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing; it’s a topsy-turvy world. It’s amazing anything gets done.

Soul: Getting into the technicalities of being Pandemonia, how much preparation does tailoring, wearing and eventually becoming an outfit requires?

Pandemonia:It takes an age to make anything. The simpler it looks the harder it is. I do a lot of drawing. Everything is planed out to the minute detail. That's the way industry does it.

Soul: Why do you mostly use vinyl, latex and elastic fabric for your outfits? Do you find that those materials are associated with fetishism and thus have a more striking appeal?

Pandemonia: The collective subconscious is something I’m interested in. Fetishism is linked with sexuality. Latex has a direct link to the subconscious. Look how emotive it is. It is amorphous it can stretch and change shape.

We all fetishize over commodities. Have you ever noticed when you buy something new how exciting it is until you take it home and unwrap it. It’s not the thing itself; it’s the idea it represents. I'm what you call all inside out. I wear the inside on the outside. Everything is clearly displayed on the outside.

Soul: Has your real identity been a subject of controversy among fans and journalists? Do people try to find out who you are?

Pandemonia:Identity is something you wear, or at least something I wear. I am an idea. What is on the reverse of the canvas is irrelevant.
The media loves stories, this mystery got legs!
There was some speculation in the press that I must be someone famous who didn't want to be recognized, possibly a supermodel or maybe a top fashion designer.

Soul: Is Pandemonia a 24-hour occupation? How’s your life outside your artistic persona? Do you have a job, for instance?
Pandemonia: Keeping up my appearance is a 24-hour occupation. They say its the first impression is the one that counts. To live the idolized life is a great responsibility.
Being me is a job itself. It’s a full time production.

Soul: Which artists and fashion designers do you admire?

Pandemonia: I admire ancient Greek Art. Greece is the birthplace of Western culture and philosophy. It’s incredible that after two and a half thousand years we are still doing the same things and concerned with the same ideas.
We are driven to improve on reality. The West has always been interested going beyond reality. The ancients were doing it then and we are still doing it now. In sculpture, Polycleitus was exaggerating the body to make it more beautiful, even removing some bones. We just do the same now though surgery and digital imaging. Look at any fashion magazine or advert.
Phidias was using the golden section to create pure forms; today with computers we have continued these ideas with Mandelbrot's fractals and parametric design. I wonder what Phidias would of though to Zahra Hadid.
Our culture and aesthetics may be different now, but we still have the same motivations. The cult of the “body beautiful” is stronger than ever now. Its no wonder the Olympics came from Greece.
The cave wall may have changed but the shadows remain the same.

Soul: Do you see yourself as a mirror of the 21st century? If so, what does that mirror reflect?

Pandemonia: The Internet puts everything in flux. All the boundaries are eroding. The difference between high and low culture is disappearing, it’s all commodity now.

I am made from the environment around me. When I look in the mirror I am always reminded of the things I ought to be, it’s like seeing yourself on film. I simply go for the Max Factor. Cosmetic conceptualism.

ATOPOS Contemporary Visual Culture (ATOPOS CVC) presents ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion at the Benaki Museum, Athens - the fi rst exhibition about Character design in fashion, curated by Vassilis Zidianakis. The exhibition is participating in the Athens Festival 2011.

Characters are abstract and reduced figures with a strong anthropomorphic appeal and bold graphical silhouette. Over the last decade, they have humorously sampled and remixed their way through visual codes and media, confronting the viewer head-on, regardless of cultural background. This aesthetic approach has a strong infl uence on contemporary fashion and costume design. International artists create playful dresses, avant-garde costumes and hairstyles, re-inventing the human body and sending their monstrous, enigmatic, radical and grotesque new Characters onto the catwalk and beyond. They redefine the relation between body and costume by mixing visual communication codes and questioning the established aesthetic norms.

The exhibition ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion has been realised with the contribution of the following fashion designers and artists, Maison Martin Margiela, Walter Van Beirendonck, Bart Hess, Jean-Charles De Castelbajac, Mareunrol’s, Bas Kosters, Issey Miyake and Dai Fujiwara, Henrik Vibskov, Dr NOKI’s NHS, Charlie Le Mindu, Hideki Seo,

YOU'LL RECGONISE PANDEMONIA, the colourful creature and Fashion Week mainstay who, at seven foot, towers above her socialite peers at store launches, première events and celebrity soirées. Bold, buxom and beautiful, not to mention made completely of man-made fibre, she was created – created here being the operative word – to be noticed.

She's “all surface and no substance”

A scion of modelling etiquette, she lives for the camera. “I want people to see what I am doing,” she says of her love of the camera. Does the attention validate Pandemonia? “It sure helps “, she smiles.

“I go to lots of parties for the launch of new products,” she says. “Products are the new superstars.”

Milan-based pop artist and fashion designer, Marco Santaniello, chats with Pandemonia about the work he has been inspired to create based on the living art piece.

Work by Marco Santaniello is being currently being exhibited Combines XL Gallery, Milan and will be on show at PHILLIPS LOUNGE, Montreal- Canada, in next September.

Pandemonia: How did you hear about my work

Marco Santaniello: I’m a big fan of the Internet world, so during my searching I found you through one of my Twitter contacts. I found your art absolutely new, contemporary, amazing and colorful, so really in-line with my POP VIEW.

P: I’m Flattered. Tell me about your work.

MS: I started by doing Pop Art-style Portraits of fashion bloggers and when they put my images on their Facebook and Twitter profiles, I saw that, at a first sight, I could make a really new kind of Pop art. Probably influenced by my love for the Rubik’s Cube, I created my “trademark”- the rainbow behind every portrait. We are all beautiful; we’re all superstars with my wall behind.

P: Do you think social media will make the role for conventional superstars change?

MS: I do think Social Media is so good for characters and new-born superstars like us. For too many years people like us suffered because there was no way to be noticed except television and magazines. Now, one has a chance. If he or she lives under a bridge, if you’re really talented today, and of course if you’re good at doing some viral marketing of yourself, you do will get noticed. That’s why we’re talking about PoP art today.

P: So you’re a Pop Artist, What does Pop mean to you?

MS: I don’t really think, as many artists do, that making art must have a specific “strange and mysterious “ meaning. I think Art could be a causality or just something that could grow up in a natural way. Anyway, I think that Pop Art must be an available thing not just for a “lobby” of intellectual people but I want to create a new form of communication between the Artist, me in this case, and the person who wants to have one of my pieces.

P: I'm so flattered that you drew a picture of me. Can you tell me about the image?

MS: Well, I decided to make your pop portrait mainly for the reason I gave you before. I found you fantastic and really interesting. Your image definitely caught my imagination. So here we are now talking about Pop. I love really new things, I always try to make something new. Also in my fashion design, as u may know I created the T-skirt, my fashion patent, a t-shirt that u have to wear upside-down; the result is a sort of Turkish trousers.

P: How do you chose your subjects, what's the criteria.

MS: I’m a pacific anarchist in life and also when I decide what to do or what to make, so all my choices just come in my minds in a moment, then I create.

P: What is a pacific anarchist?

MS: My brain is really wild, totally anarchist and I love the activism, but the word has negative connotations, that’s why I decided to put the word Pacific before it – I’m about peace & love.

P: Who's your favorite pop star?

MS: It might sounds common but I kind of love what
Andy Warhol did at that time and I’ve always been fascinated by his idea of The Factory. Anyway, he made many “mistakes”, I’m talking about the fact that at the end he created more a drugs community then a real factory, but It was just Genius.

P: That was decades ago now, is pop art still relevant? Does it have a different role or is it still very much the same?

MS: You know, When Pop Art happened, it was 1956 - such a different period from now. Of course at that time it was a superb surprise but people didn’t get it for a long time. Is really far too easy to fall in the cliché Andy Warhol, Liechtenstein,etc. for pop artists nowadays, but I think we’re finding new kind of Pop Art.

Last night saw Village Underground in Shoreditch play host to hundreds of London’s trendiest for the MTV Push and Calvin Klein launch party. It was a night hosted to showcase the talents of rising young artists and to launch the new Calvin Klein lifestyle range.

And what a banging party it was! From the uber cool fluorescent lights to the energetic performances, MTV showed they sure know how to put on a party. Katy B gave us a brilliantly energetic set where she performed some of her hits including: Broken Record, Katy B On a Mission and Lights On. The pint-sized singer was also kind enough to tell us that her new single will be Easy Please Me, a dubstep infused track from her new album.

Originally scheduled to perform was London rapper Professor Green, but his no-show was most likely due to the fact that he was struck down with tonsillitis earlier this week. Fortunately, MTV were able to find a replacement in the form of rising MC Wretch 32 who, quite coincidentally, had lost his voice. Nonetheless, he gave the audience a quick performance of his smash hit Traktor.

When we caught up with him after his set, he seemed to be in high spirits despite having to mouth most of the conversation. Also performing was US export Alexis Jordan who had the crowd singing along to her infectious hit Happiness. Despite only being 17, Alexis showed that she is talented enough to deliver strong vocals live.

Keeping us dancing all night long was DJ Peaches Geldof along with host and supermodel Lara Stone . Lara is currently the face of Calvin Klein, who has been busy with their pop-up show at the Old Truman Brewery. Plainly designed with screens showing their global campaign and a vending machine of clothes, the pop-up shop is a taster of the fashion houses new lifestyle range.

It seems many party-goers appreciate the new range, as there were queues of people all night waiting to film their own campaign in the “ck one box.”

The Push party was certainly a star-filled event with celebs such as David Walliams and Jameela Jamil turning up to show their support to the performing artists.

A good night was had by all.

M: What are you hiding?

P: Oh, only just about everything.

M: Oscar Wilde once said, "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth."
What truth are you expressing to us?

P: That's an interesting quote of Oscar’s. In my experience, I find people will say all kinds of stuff anomalously.

You know, even if I wore a mask I think everyone would recognise me right away. I recently started doing the big sunglass thing to avoid the attention of the paparazzi and it just made things worse.

So what am I expressing? I am an artist exploring the usual humanist themes: Who we are and how to represent the modern world. You talk of truth; for me truth implies absolutes, my work is continually evolving.

M: You have such a great penchant for serving sleek, even precious surfaces in your work. Are you not particularly interested in taking your audience beyond the immediate facade?

P: Life is full of façades. -sleek, shiny and perfect; I'm simply dishing up what they all want. I can't take people beyond the immediate but I can offer them a mystery.

M: Most artists are Machiavellian in their pursuit of fame. It is the artists' equivalent to power. If fame does matter, why does it matter and does it matter that you become famous?

P: I guess it depends on the individual artists motive.

For me, fame is a device. Our culture is obsessed with celebrity, if you want to communicate something it’s best to be endorsed by one or better still be one. Celebs wield a lot of influence through image and role model.

My work is a parody it questions our role models. I'm a fake celebrity; you could even say a false idol. Glossy magazines are the purveyors of myths and dreams. This is the most appropriate place to show my work. It communicates my ideas directly with a receptive audience. My Artwork is being exhibited in situ and functions within the media.

M: What is more truthful: that the fake is chic or that reality is so brutal that anything else will do?

P: It’s neither, we are just compelled to follow our nature. Fake chic can be brutal and we are driven to improve on reality. The West has always been interested going beyond reality. M: Tell me the most beautiful daydream or vision you've ever had...

P: I say, ‘Why dream when you can make it reality?’ Dreams are your aspirations. If you follow them, they might come true. You’re seeing mine slowly revealed.

M: Please come to visit New York soon, will you? You can stay in my apartment if you like and we could go spend countless hours at Dylans' Candy Bar, ok?

P: I would love to visit the Big Apple. If we went to Dylans' I might never step of that roundabout.

An Interview With Pandemonia

A permanent fixture on the front row, Pandemonia is top of the list for fashion invitations and high profile industry events. Glamourous and ageless, her unique style, infamous inflated locks, and colourful personality have sky rocketed her to fashion fame, and lead to countless appearances in blogs, television programmes and glossy publications.

I caught up with the 7ft blonde bombshell and post pop, conceptual artist Pandemonia to talk about fame, fashion and what it's like to be full of hot air.

Miss Pandemonia, you have become something of an international "It" girl in the fashion community. What publications have you been interviewed for and featured in?
I've been in all sorts, let me see… iD, Vogue, Vanity fair, The Sunday Times, Grazia, Ponystep and many more, not to mention the blogs. Even when some magazines only print an image and few words, my work still communicates loud and clear. They say an image paints a thousand words and lucky for me I print well.

What's the most fabulous event you've attended or been invited to?
That's a hard question as I've been to so many. My favourite was the Acne fashion show at Kensington Palace last year. It was very grand. Someone posted a brilliant picture of me greeting the press, it totally captured the occasion.

What's the weirdest?
Weirdest... hmm let me see. Momentarily chatting to Pamela Anderson at the film premier of 'The Commuter Party.' It was a bit like looking in the mirror.

I saw you on the front row of many London Fashion Week shows. Which was your favourite collection for Autumn/Winter '11?
You noticed me? I did make it to several of the shows this year. My favourite was Pam Hogg's, Ziad Ghanem was a close second though. I really like Pam’s style and the music carried it well. My favourite show of all time was Charlie Le Mindu's collection from last September.

Which trends will you be embracing?
“Fake Chic” its my cartoon couture trend.

I recently saw an interview with Dolly Parton where she said she wouldn't leave the house, even if she was being rushed to the hospital, without lipstick and a wig. You always look so fabulously put together, do you ever have days when you dress down?
Good for Dolly! I'm what they call a “ready made,” my lips are stuck on and my hair's always buoyant. Image is everything, it's so important to keep up appearances. You should see my wardrobe it's very extensive. I have something for every occasion.

Being as your favourite fabric is latex, do you find it hot in the summer months? Where's your favourite place to go on vacation?
I like the Alps, the air is so fresh. In those hot summer months its cool enough up their to keep your head on straight.

Do you prefer a one piece or two piece?
At the moment I prefer a one piece, its more elegant. I think a two piece can be a bit fussy. It depends on whether you have the figure for it.

Pandemonia's style is so imaginative and innovative, do you ever see fellow admirers copying your look?
I haven't met anyone copying me yet, although I am sure there are some trying. My work is very distinctive and the concept unique. Physically it's hard to reproduce because my patterns are so complex and there aren't many people with my stature. Pandemonia’s larger than life.

You have experimented with several different hair colours in the past. As a fellow blonde I have to ask, since going platinum have you attracted more attention and, of course, had much more fun?
I think there's a direct correlation between the lightness of your hair and the amount of fun you have. I'm sure you have noticed that when you get photographed the blonde’s stand out and the brunettes, well, just fade into the background. All the top Hollywood actress’s were blonde too you know.

Miss Pandemonia is everywhere! Can we expect to see you attending Paris Fashion Week soon, or better yet on the runway?
Pandemonia loves Paris, Sadly I was just too busy to attend the shows this year. As far as strutting down the catwalk myself I say why do the runway, when everyone can see you all the time on the front row?

You've mentioned on your blog that one of your dreams was to have an art studio on the seaside in France. Is that still your dream?
Yes I would like that so much. You know the south of France is real Poodle Country. Maybe I could also go into breeding pedigree dogs too. Snowy needs a friend.

What plans do you have for the future?
I am working on my art exhibition. It’s going to be a blend of modern art, fashion and satire. We are finalising dates of this September. You must come!

P: That's so exciting, to hear about my image getting around. What kind of magazine is Be Mode mag?

ATD: It's a very nice French glossy fashion and people mag.

P: Tell me about your work, how do you chose your subject matter?

ATD: I am a costume designer and freelance graphic designer. I make costumes for artists like Miss Botero, Queen Mimosa 3 (aka QM3), Pierre Pascual and my best friend Céline Perrier; she's a gay icon in Paris. P: Who's your inspiration?

ATD: My inspirations are David Lachapelle, Amanda Lepore, Pierre et Gille, Dita Von Tees and Lady GaGa.

P: When you approached me on Facebook you said that I inspire you, why is that?

ATD: I love plastic fabric, vinyl and latex. I love the sex universe. I love Pop Art. Your image captures all of that which I love.

P: You mention you like plastic and latex textures, are these materials that you use in your costume designs?

ATD: I use this fabric because it's of its associations with fetishism and S&M. You can see this influence in Tierry Mugler and
Alaia collections from the 80s and 90s.

P: I'm so flattered that you drew a picture of me. Can you tell me about the ideas and symbolism you use in the image?

ATD: You're a Plastic Girl so I drew you in a Plastic, Botox and in a silicon world. I find many inspirations in erotic symbols and S&M, which your look echoes. I drew you, in an AYD, (Arnaud Yves Dardis), dress and bag. It’s a tubular and very skinny dress. I'm now going to make it in a real fabric.

P: What does beauty mean to you?

ATD: For me beauty means Me, Myself and I, sexuality, fake beauty, lipstick, fashion, Louboutin, Swarovski, Céline Perrier, Fur, Botox, Fetishism, I love the surgical look. Beauty is a Polytheistic Religion and the God is creativity. It applies to guys and girls.

P: You link beauty and eroticism to surgery, what are your thoughts on
Freud’s death principle, the view that humans are drawn to repeat painful or traumatic events - even though such repetition appears to contradict our instinct suffer seek pleasure?

ATD: Freud described the orgasm as "little death", we can say that life is just to hurt all human life. We find pleasure in hurting ourselves, we have surgery to mutilate our faces. Everything we do for pleasure hurts us in some way. Don’t we say we have to suffer for beauty? I think that we were born to experience joy and pain of the flesh.

P: I noticed you put me in a pair of Louboutins. I hope they aren't fake. How is fake beauty beautiful?

ATD: (laughs) Even before I was born it was already. Fake is Chic. Take Barbie, she is beautiful, Amanda Lepore, she 's really beautiful, and all Disney Princess are beautiful. It is a fact!!!

P: Throughout time, we have always modified the body. The Ancient Greeks were doing it with their sculptures. Polycitus was conforming the body to the golden section, Cult of the 'body beautiful. It’s no surprise the Greeks also invented the Olympics. Today we exaggerate our images and even our body's through surgery.

A: I completely agree with you and I will even add that humans will even fantasize about anatomy today....with the creation of Barbie and Ken for example, or with imagery of the stars...

P: What’s next for you?

ATD: Maybe I'm too young to be famous now but I know something: although I am humble, I am fabulous.

P: What is it about Fame that fascinates you?

ATD: Fame is final culmination of supreme recognition and credibility.

P: like Imortality?

ATD: It's what we artists exist for.

P: Your love of “fakeness” and of fame are quite closely associated, in what ways does fakeness result in fame or vice versa?

ATD: I think anything that becomes famous gained fake imagery and an inaccessible aspect. They become divine in people’s eyes. Take Lady Gaga for example. She is just a woman, a human, she's like everybody else but when she started creating her art everybody started talking about her until she became a demi god. She named herself THE MONSTER – a human being that has become superior just via TV, Magazines and talk. I love this crazy, FAKE, reality.

Some people say that she is a mockery of modern life. Pandemonia is a mystery, the living sculpture, that has frequently appeared in public. Often she appears in major film festivals, fashion occasions, award ceremonies. Group photo with the stars, she covered the exit photo magazine covers, newspaper headlines! She is now the most audacious British "performance artist"!

What is your dream? When you are in the process to made it come true, who has given you helps, and was there anything happened frustrate you or make you feel hopeless?

My dream is to have a functioning Art Studio with lots of assistants where we create art works and merchandise for the world.
Going though the English education system helped my work. I did a BA (hon) Fine Art Degree and an MA Fine Art Degree at Chelsea College of Art (London). Art college helped my develop my work conceptually.

What do you like about London?

London's long history gives me a rich cultural cultural backdrop to stand against.

What is your ideal dream life?

To live in the south of France in a large art studio with lots of light overlooking the sea.

What was the hardest hard when you were trying to make your dreams come true? And do you think there is anything you can never achieve or you won’t be able to beat them? IF there is, what is it?

Things are as hard as you want them to be. If you want to achieve something - go for it. Obstacles are there for a reason, they make you more inventive. Look at my hair for example. That is one of the most sophisticated patterns I've seen around.

What you think Dream is important? How does it affect a person? Like affecting you?

If you follow your dreams they might come true. They are very important and a driving force to creation. What scientists dreamed of 50 years ago is happening now. We are all being connected by the internet, as Marshall Mcluhan coined one big “global village”.

Do you have anything Hero or idol? Who is he?

“Paris Hilton?” Just a flick of her hair creates a tornado on the other side of the world. (Joke aside) The scientist Edward Lorenz described this phenomena as the Butterfly effect.

What have you done you think was the edgiest in your life?

Stepping out of a taxi for the first time and meeting the press and public at London Fashion week. There was no going back and I had no idea how I would be received. It felt like jumping into the unknown.
I think the most important thing I have done is getting my image (my Art work), articles and interviews into the gossip pages of international mainstream magazines.Sunday Times, Grazia, Independent, Vogue, Vanity Fair and more. I want to reach as many people as possible from all levels of society.

What do you fear most in life?

Punctures, they are a real let down! “For those deflated moments” - I always have my Pandemonia rescue kit at hand.

When you show up in fashion show or exhibition,how the people around you react?What's the most funny experience you ever had?

Shock and awe. They just cant stop photographing me. If they would pay me every time they take a photograph I would soon get rich.

Are there anything has changed your life for what you are doing now, or anything happened that determined your career now?

I have always been an artist. It is my duty as an artist to project my ideas out to the public. So far I have had my work featured in many mainstream magazines like iD.
The contemporary Chinese artist Ai Weiwei who has currently a major Art installation in the Turbine hall at theTate Modern, London UK, called Sunflower Seeds said “From a very young age I started to sense that an individual has to set an example to society” the quote continues, “Your own acts and behaviour tell the world who you are and at the same time what kind of society you think it should be”
The quote resonates to me as an Artist because I think Artists should talk about the world they are living in and take inspiration from it. With the use of parody I encourage my audience to question our role models. It is of primary importance to engage with a wide audience.

If you are not an artist now,who will you be?

I could go in a number of directions either in front of or behind the camera.

I have had a couple of film cameos offered to me. When the right one comes along I'll take it. So one day you might see me on the Silver Screen.

Pandemonia interviewed by Jason Lee of Salon Spotter.

A few weeks ago, we ran a story about 80′s pop stars and a celebrity cartoon inspired guest at the Pam Hogg show for London Fashion Week. This above photo was attached to the story featuring the 7 foot tall post modern plastic and latex pop artist known as simply “Pandemonia”. We instantly became fascinated by her. She’s a statement between pop culture/fine art/celebrity/fashion and of course a great sense of humour. Her genius is that unlike the archetypal socialite blonde she emulates, Pandemonia will never age. Additionally, she is the humanized version of the plasticized world of advertising we live in. We thought it would be a great idea to contact Pandemonia and ask her a few questions about life, love and art! Here’s how our conversation went!!

SalonSpotter: Most recently your hair color is a stunning shade of platinum blonde with low lights. It’s so beautiful. We’ve seen you sporting a more golden tone in the past as well as fiery red. What made you decide to go all the way platinum?

Pandemonia: Pam Hogg, the fashion designer (Editors Note: Pam Hogg sports bright yellow hair), always said I was a rivalling her hair. When she invited me to her fashion show I thought, I’d give her a break. I changed my hair colour. I went one better I went platinum blonde. You know I think its working for me.

SalonSpotter: Going Platinum blonde can be harsh on the hair…do you have any beauty tricks for those who are thinking of going super light without damaging their hair?

Pandemonia: Yes it is hard on your roots. I’ve got my own secret recipe for giving my hair that lustrous bounce. In a word its…. Helium. It really gives it that lift and bounce you need.

SalonSpotter: Let’s talk about the style of your hair. You seem to love wearing it with a side swept fringe and flipped at the bottom which is super sexy. Would you ever wear a short bob?

Pandemonia: I’m glad you noticed that. The bob is sexy but I think the fringe is more feminine. I always liked that wind swept look. Its so dynamic, its like the wind of opportunity is blowing through it. Body and movement are things I always build into my hair. It’s all about aspiration. Its important to have things for people to look at.

SalonSpotter: In your opinion, what does a woman’s hair say about her?

Pandemonia: Power! Its an extension of yourself. It’s the first thing people see, its all performance. You know Samson had all his strength in his hair. And It can take years off you.

SalonSpotter: What do you think of celebrity today?

Pandemonia: Celebrity is a machine. Its all about selling product – lifestyle etc.

SalonSpotter: What do you think of plastic surgery?

Pandemonia: Everything’s plastic these days. I simply went the full way. Going totally glossy is the next logical step in perfection. It’s the ultimate packaging! I’ve got that shiny, new you, look.

SalonSpotter: Snowy seems like such a happy dog. Does he love fashion?

Pandemonia: Is Snowy Happy? Of course he is… he’s on Gas! He loves everything especially fashion.

SalonSpotter: Who is the ultimate male counterpart for Pandemonia? Does Pandemonia fall in love?

Pandemonia: I’m always asked this. Who is Pandemonia’s other? Pandemonia is like an open sentence. Free and single I say, but Pandemonia falls in love all too easily so you never know.

SalonSpotter: In 2033, what will Pandemonia be doing?

Pandemonia: No doubt retiring in some Tax haven. Let me see, hot or cold? I could be taking in the Mountain Airs living in a Swiss chalet. Or maybe lounging on a Yacht in Monaco, South of France, sipping the Martinis. What do you think?

SalonSpotter: Sounds amazing!!! Let’s talk the Queen of Pop. Do you have an opinion about Madonna? Is she an iconic female archetype or is she just an ageing pop star? Or both?

Pandemonia: Without doubt Madonna is a cultural icon. Throughout her career Madonna has constantly challenged the public’s perception of herself and the representation of other woman. Her public identity defies male control. She asserts herself as a subject, rather than an object. Madonna is the one that calls the shots.

Few woman have had such a wide ranging influence. She has played a significant role in developing the identity of the modern independent woman.

SalonSpotter: Do you have a dark side?

Pandemonia: I did experiment with going brunette. My hair looked lifeless more chocolate than brunette. I felt deflated so I treated myself by going blonde again. Which goes to show blondes do have more fun.

Pandemonia is not a new IT girl or rock star offspring – turn – model. Covered head to toe in latex she is a living, breathing walking, talking piece of post – modern art. Perplexed and fascinated, IDOL asks who is Pandemonia.

For those who may not know, who is Pandemonia?

Pandemonia is A Post Pop Artist. She is that “7th tall slim, shiny, Blonde” that has been at all the best events over the last year. She always has the most striking looks and gets constantly photographed.

What do you wish to achieve through Pandemonia?

To reach as many people as possible. I see myself as a story, a work in progress. News items need a story. It's not enough to have a strong image you need the narrative to go with it. The best way to reach people is to be the story. I am a story with legs.

What was the inspiration behind this?

Watching perfect lives on the screen. Chasing “The Big Other”, the unobtainable.

Why did you choose to display your artwork in this way?

I present myself as a celebrity, after all is not celebrity the currency all the world over? To me it makes sense to cut out the middle man and show my work directly to the public. It's the interaction between myself and the public that becomes interesting.

My photographs look good because I am all image. I am a product. My product is an idea, you can get it in an instant. I think I look best when I'm photographed in the media. What better way is there to comment on celebrity than to be in the very same publications they are in.

Last weeks Alex Reid fiasco in the tabloids is a good example. I hope Katie Price didn't suddenly go blonde on my account. They blew the story totally out of proportion.

Your name appears to be derived from the word pandemonium, what was the meaning behind the choice?

Pandemonium means chaos. Out of chaos comes creativity. Besides you should see the pandemonium I create amongst the photographers when I turn up.

You make all your clothes yourself – how many outfits do you have?

Yes I make everything myself, I call them “Art creations”. They are more than “clothes” they are “political expressions”. They are symbols of lifestyle and aspiration. My appearance points to the manufactured ideal.

How many do I have? Not nearly enough!

How do you feel you have you been received by the general public, industry and the media?

Amazement, bemusement I'ts all the same to me. I do get photographed a lot by the public. They are fascinated by what I am doing.

The Fashion industry has been giving me front row tickets to London Fashion week and various private parties. Acne gave me tickets to their London Fashion Week show at Kensington Palace. I guess someone there likes me.

Over the last year I have been gaining more and media attention. One magazine said "Pandemonia A Messiah sent to earth by Andy Warhol" That's a good media endorsement.

What is your perception on women and how they are portrayed in the media and
society?

That's a complicated subject. It depends where and who they are being portrayed by. Generally women are shown from a man's point of view. A lot of adverts encourage insecurities simply to shift more products.

If you ruled the world what would it be like?

It would be “Plastic Fantastic!” Of course.

I'm just an artist doing my thing. My works is actually quite traditional.
I am exploring the meanings of things that drive our lives.

What is the future of Pandemonia?

Next year I am doing a sculpture show. It is going to be a continuation of my ideas, a blend of commercialism, fashion and art. I am actively looking for a sponsorship. I am taking it to the next level.

What message would Pandemonia ultimately like to leave the world?

Someone who explored the meaning things. Questions who are we?

“Who are you?” To be able to get people to think about who they are and what motivates them would be a good legacy.

Who is your IDOL?

Oh Paris Hilton! of course! Just a flick of her hair creates a tornado on the other side of the world. Now that's what I call the Butterfly effect. If only Edward Lorenz could have witnessed that.

Interview: Pandemonium over Pandemonia...

On initial sightings of Pandemonia last season, I originally popped her into my 'weird and wonderful fashion week file' and thought nothing of it. After further research I realised that this is not just style for the sake of style, this is art.

Pandemonia is a seven ft tall walking, talking work of art. Often seen on the front row and at the biggest parties and events, Pandemonia was inspired by the superficial world of fame and the ideals that surround society's views of 'the perfect woman'. Upon finding that she was in fact an artist and reading about her inspiration I knew I simply had to talk to the lady herself to find out a little more about the artist, the art work and those outfits...

Coco: Please can you tell us a little about the Pandemonia piece/project?

Pandemonia: I am a conceptual Post Pop Artist. I show my work and ideas in the Public Social Space.

As well as being seen at many events I am also doing a sculpture show later in the year.

C: What influenced you to start Pandemonia’s life and when did it begin?

P: Advertising was a big influence on me. I constructed myself on all those ideals. I have been developing my ideas for a few years.

People need to see things more than any time before. I took my art work out of the gallery and put it into the Public Social Space. My work both interacts with people and describes our world. The virtual world is getting more important. My work has relevance on line as well as off line.

C: Do you dress like this all of the time? Even on Sunday hangover days, or to pop for a pint of milk?

P: Oh, Pandemonia's always dressed. Up keeping my appearance is a big responsibility. I never need to shop for mundane stuff, someone else does all that stuff.

C: David Bowie in the Ziggy Stardust days or Lady Gaga?

P: David Bowie is great. Lady Gaga is more current.

C: What’s on your iPod right now?

P: Paloma Faith! I met her last week and I'm checking out her music. She's so talented.

C: Who is the most inspiring person you’ve met?

P: I'm more inspired by what's going on. The worlds remoulding itself so quickly at the moment. Just look at twitter. Global Village is here right now. Mcluhan got it right again.

C: What’s your guilty pleasure?

P: Mr Sheen. You won't repeat that will you. (My favourite answer)

C: How many pet dogs (of the inflatable kind) do you have or is there only one Snowball?

P: Snowball!.... that's a cute nickname. I've only one dog and he's called Snowy. I might actually start calling him Snowball now. You know dogs are great, they really break the ice with people. I say.... more facilities for dogs!

C: What do you really think of celebrities? Is the project to mock celebrities or to mock our view of perfection- or both?

P: I let someone else do the thinking. I'm just offering a cartoon parody of the world.
C: Do you ever get punctures? If so how does one recover from this?

P: I was doing a Haitian charity event last year and my speech bubble “?!?” burst. I made a swift exit back to Pandemonia Central. (Secret Central London Location)

C: Where do you shop for your looks?

P: I don't! I design and make everything myself.

Ziad Ghanem's collection drew inspiration from the horror video game “Silent Hill”and the works of John-Henry Fuseli. Each look was a haute couture creation, shown on the most eclectic ensemble of models to walk for fashion week. Size's, ages, races and genders were all represented.

The audience erupted as the first mesmerizing model, Marnie Scarlet, lifted to become a ten foot tall vision of the most beautiful nightmare. From there, they were amazed by the intricacy of each design; from the complex beading to the complicated drapery, from the femininity softness to the bold strength of each model.

The Fashion

The show opened to a scene not out of place from Brian De Palma's film Carie. A naked blood-stained model, with the gritty slogan ‘Violence’ fastened to her head walked down the runway.

Charlie Le Mindu’s AW ’11 catwalk show was macabre, furiously rebellious and a touch frightening as he explored the glamour and grit of a Berlin brothel and the repressed era of the Second World War. A colour palette of ghoulish white, complete with further blood stains, gas masks, lace veils, see-through PVC and military caps ensued.

Concluding with the dove of peace head ensemble.

The audience applauded as models trotted out to the piercing sound of pigs squealing.

The Show

The PPQ show comprised of short dresses with 'scissor' cuts. Big heart shaped hangers on the necklaces, ruffles on top of the over the knee boots and blocked high heeled shoes, browns and greys. Tall Pope like hats that wouldn't look pout of place in the Vatican . Kitty cat hats.

Follow Magazine is a Brazilian bimonthly publication, with 20,000 readers throughout the country, focusing on fashion, behaviour and music, who had on the covers top models such as Cintia Dicker, Aline Weber and now, on the third edition, a angel from Victoria's Secret, the Brazilian top Fabiana Semprebom.

Who is she? Where and who came? Where will it go?

These are questions that you will ask yourself if you encounter this tall thin plastic artefact. One of the most influential fashion icons of Europe, inspired by the contemporary world. What might look scary from the beginning, reveals an incomparable originality to make an appearance on the streets of London, where she works frequently. This post-modern de-constructionist work is called PANDEMONA.

Following changes through out the years, PANDEMONA today is in the form of a tall, blonde. Inspired by the superficiality and fame she is both humours ironic. Often appearing at the most glamorous parties. “After all, what better way to talk of celebrity than to appear in the same publications and events as they are in?”

Many comparisons were made between PANDEMONA, the philosopher Jean Baudrillard and the artist Andy Warhol. All are indicative of a consumerist society, as well as icons of modern art and pop genre. This apparently frivolous image ,PANDEMONA, is infact a multifaceted and performative piece. Her life style is often documented by the paparazzi in fashion magazines and blogs, and usually placed on the same page that large and influential fashion personalities are.

Why the plasticized form on your style and way?

Our modern culture aspires to gloss. The streets are covered in glossy cars and plastic wrap envelops almost all packaging. My rubberised glossy form says I am, shiny, fresh & new, completely sanitized. It turns me into a perfect object.

What a woman represents on that way?

We are all sold the idea of perfection. Enough is never enough. If advertising and media are to be believed the ideal woman is a size zero, six foot, leggy blond.

Not unlike motorcar advertising women are being represented as a glossy hyper real beings with streamlined curves. In a quest for perfection we must have glossy Lips, hair, eyes, shoes, bodes etc. Going totally glossy is simply the next logical step in perfection.

What are the main elements that compose you?

Pandemonia is made from a collection of signs. She is the deconstucted representation of the advertised female form.

My inflatable yellow hair for instance points to an idea of the archetypal blond. My legs, bags, dresses are political expressions. They are symbols of lifestyle and aspiration. My appearance denotes to a manufactured ideal.

How soon do you dress? (Where do you go dressed)

As a Fine Artist I present my self as a celebrity. In today's world or at least in the UK Celebrity is the currency. I see my self as a story a work in progress. News items need a narrative. In today's mass media its not enough to have a strong image you need the narrative to go with it. I go to the “invite only” events. The best way to reach people is to be the story.

Is it hard to live like a latex cartoon creation?

Yes! Its like trying to live up to the impossible. With all messages been thrown at us constantly through the media, telling us what to buy and selling us lifestyles, I think we are all trying to live up to the impossible. Keeping up my image is a big responsibility.

What did you visit when you came to Brazil?

I exhibited some of my art in Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Porto Alegre. Spent almost every thing I had exploring your massive country. The People, music, Nature, Architecture and Cities - this was what she liked. I'd love to return one day

Are you afraid of aging? Will retire someday?

Pandemonia never gets old. She will never have lines or wrinkles. Image means everything. An artist never retires, my work will continue to evolve.

What can not miss in your purse?

Gas. (It has to keep inflated)

What is the biggest difficulty in your life?

Going through small doors.

What do you think people talk about you?

I have had several compliments on my facebook page.

What do you wearing right now, in this moment?

Im wearing one of my wonderful balloon dresses with Snowie, my dog, sitting beside me.

What are your favorite brands?

Rubber bands.

Im currently reading “America” by Jean Baudrillard.

I just saw Banksys film “Exit through the gift shop”

A personality.

“Paris Hilton?” Just a flick of her hair creates a tornado on the other side of the world. (Joke aside) The scientist Edward Lorenz described this phenomena as the Butterfly effect.

Light Part 1 Paradise Row.

Pandemonia goes to the Paradise Row Private View, Light Part 1. 13th Jan 2011.

The exhibition incorporates varied works engaging with both the subject and nature of light, from the strictly scientific to the metaphorical, allegorical and lyrical.

The show opens with Conrad Shawcross shadow sculpture. From the bright light, shadows are projected and glide across as it were the eternal cave wall. The shadow projected is an illusion, taking the form of the illusionists cube puzzle.

Jake & Dinos Chapman melted candle sculpture sits like an early Christian distorted relic. Peter Schuyff's painting gapes and invites us into the dark.

Works are by Reza Aramesh, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Desiree Dolron, Terence Koh, Wayne Horse, Dawn Mellor, Gino Saccone, Peter Schuyff and Conrad Shawcross.

Drinking Becks beer at the brink of the abyss of Peter Schuyff's untitled painting, Pandemeonia chats with gallery goers, fashion Bloger Aizak Buyondo, Bert Clation and the Swedish girls.

Arriving with fashion designer Bert Clayton, Pandemonia was dressed all in gray and red with her trademark inflatable yellow hair. Guests included Tracey Emin, Stephen Fry, J Jopling, Bianca Jagger, Courtney Love and Alan Yentob. Drinks sponsored by Japanes Asahie beer.

National Icons Gilbert & George present...

The Urethra Postcards Pictures

The series comprises of 564 pictures, 155 pictures are on display at Mason's Yard.

The work wryly celebrates Englishness in the form of post cards of London attractions and its titillations. Could this be the pleasure principal?

United in their composition, 'Urethra Postcard Pictures' constitutes 13 cloned postcards set against a geometric take on a urethra. Each of the postcards, in trademark patriotic form, feature the Union Jack alongside an advert for sexual services.

Meeting Gilbert & George Pandemonia commented that it was a very large show. The Duo nodded in agreement.

For every ones clarification Gilbert is the smaller one and George is the taller one.
