London Fashion Week Day 1 SS 2014

Friday morning. Snowy woke and gave Pandemonia a gentle nudge, time to get ready. This was their first day out during London Fashion Week.

In the taxi Pandemonia checked the new hairdo in the mirror and re-arranged the new dress & Snowy's collar as they pulled up to Somerset House, for the 11am Felder & Felder show.

The show was taking place in a newly created space, deep down in the bowels of Somerset house.

This location in P's high heels proved to be more akin to Jules Verne "Journey to the Centre of the Earth".




At the space Pandemonia and Snowy were nestled between Hilary Alexander and Premier Model's new addition Harriet Verney.






Harriet was in a fabulous feathered dress.

The show theme was 'underwater', textures reflecting the ocean bed, coral reef and the odd reptile print thrown in for good measure.

Snowy, imagined Harriet entering the spirit of the concept and diving in like a hungry Humming bird, she didn't though - her wings were well and truly clipped.



Friday morning, Pandemonia and Snowy visited The Bloomsbury Set event in the magnificent BloomsburyCentral Baptist Church.


Here P&S avoided the stairs and took the lift to the lower ground floor to view the Spring/Summer 2014 collections by fashion and accessory designers;

Age-Of Reason-Studio: Duecci ; Karen K: Mymink : Mylovemyleggings: Nico Didonna: Pritch-London and 3 star ex graduates Andreas Feet Martinsen, Helena Dillon and Jorn Olsthoorn

And sample the Lavolio delicious hand made confectionery.







Ali Taylor Mapletoft from Ageof Reason Studio, cornered Pandemonia and Snowy and thrust into P's hand an invite to the Karen K show,


Upon which Pandemonia and Snowy produced their own. The Lebanese supermodel Karen El-Khazen is a very dear pal and they wouldn't have missed the Karen K runway show at 4pm for anything

Karen K show was an entertainment extravaganza; models with elongated sleek pony tails created by L'Oreal Professionnel UK hair art team, spearheaded by Luke Plucukrose & Tom Berry from Saks.





The girls came strutting out in bright swimmer, accessorised by Karen K shoes, bags and cuffs.

Much to the delight of Karen's ritzy customer base.

For the finale, Karen ditched her swimsuit for a floor length red dress with Gladiator sandals, perfect for hot sultry nights in exotic places.

Although, the introduction of a model in a gas mask threw poor Snowy for six.

 

Post show, Pandemonia was introduced by Cristina Polizzi to there latest fan, Massimiliano Mazzanti, the Italian General Consul.

Clutching a bottle of the latest water on the market Iskilde form Aqua-Amore P&S left for the Fashion International multi brand show.


At The Charing Cross Hotel a group of designers were showcasing in the Betjeman Suite.

Pandemonia and Snowy had only just sat down and out popped designers collection from AGA, Dee Duce, Gianni Lilliu, Wajahat Mirza and Yuvna Kim

Yuvna detailed crafted unlined lace dresses, were a bit risque for 4 year old Snowy's innocent eyes.





At the VIP cocktail party afterwards, Pandemonia and Snowy met Iman Sid who declared "you're the most amazing looking couple I've ever seen"

P&S thought what a great compliment coming from the author of "Miss Manners" .

Then Snowy's head started nodding, a sign for home time and good night sleep so as to be fresh for the following day's 'a la mode gad about' .

Pandemonia is a seven foot latex fashion week wonder. Is she a woman? A celebrity? An art piece? Or a fine art creation? Coming out of the KTZ show, at Fashion Week , I waited by the exit soon to see a figure in a nude block palette dress sunglasses and accompanied by her dog. Pandemonia was walking towards me. I was quite mesmerised and very intrigued by this pop art style walking art piece. The buzz of Somerset House was the perfect atmosphere for the performance art that us Pandemonia to be displayed, her cleverly crafted entirety is what a lot aspire to have. With masses of photographers trying to capture her as she walks seamlessly on the cobbled stones of Somerset House, she stops and poses for them all on what is her platform. The way in which Pandemonia appears to everyone is so much more impressive then any other celebrity, she represents what every celebrity wants to be, perfect. After seeing her during Fashion Week I knew I had to find out more about her and hopefully the creative behind her.

Q: What do you represent?

A: I represent whatever people project onto me. Pandemonia is an archetype. She is the embodiment of the modern myth – the eternal celebrity who is forever young and beautiful. She is the anima that exists in the collective subconscious.

Q: Do you think what you represent has changed since you first set out?

A: The core idea remains the same. What has changed is Pandemonia has gone global. By developing my art, I appear to have has a positive contagious effect on people around me. The idea has jumped from person to person. What she represents now appeals to people all round the world.

Q: People have seen you in array of brilliant colours so what’s is your favourite colour ultimately?

A: My favourite colour at the moment is tan. I am into the muted pallet.

Q: If you could collaborate with any practitioner in the world, who would it be?

A: Last year, I collaborated with Vivienne Westwood and recently with Tim Walker. They are tough acts to follow. I would like to do a collaboration with a major brand, something like a clothing or beauty or beauty products.

Q: What shows did you attend at the London Fashion Week just gone? What were your highlights?

A: The recent London Fashion Week involved such names and shows as Kristian Aadnevik, KTZ, Felder & Felder, Nico Didonna and Nina Naustdal, who is also a good friend of mine, by the way.

Q: Who/ what is your biggest inspiration?

A: The Media

Q: Do you ever look at the trends going on? If so, do they affect your clothing?

A: Initially, no, but with all these fashion show I've been attending, something is rubbing off. This season, I was right on trend with my choice of colours and fabrics.

Q: Have you got any upcoming projects/ events that you're excited about and willing to share?

A: The Royal College of Art has invited me to do a lecture on my Art.

Q: As a fine artist who's platform is the fashion industry, do you have any advice for those wishing to enter either or both of the industries?

A: I did not exactly follow the book. I started developing my Art not in order to get into anything, but rather because I simply wanted to. It just so happened that people spontaneously became interested in it. I think if you wanted to get into the industry as a career choice, you would need to follow the normal channels.

London Fashion week Day 1 AW 2013

The next outing for Pandemonia and Snowy was Day 1 of London Fashion Week for the KTZ show at the Courtyard Space tent in Somerset House.
Striding towards the entrance of the space, P&S got held up by the media.



Pandemonia and Snowy posed for the bunch of reporters who gathered around them to take pix, then made their way to the show.



Inside the tent, Pandemonia and Snowy landed a seat next to Roses Gabor, who P&S ran into last season on the last day of the shows. Roses confided, "Since then, I’ve released a single called "Stars” and I wore KTZ in that video" She also added that there was plenty of graphic - printed tarot card imagery for next video.



The KTZ show followed every fashion house, with the "on - trend monochrome palette" - although Snowy preferred the vivid green - and - yellow combos peeking through, thinking these would brighten up all those dull winter days and nights.



Likewise the girl band Stooshe were rocking up a great look that mirrored the show. ,



Another rock band looking for fashion ideas were James and Holly from Mitsotu band. They liked the show too and were equally exited to meet P&S.
