Macmillan and De’Longhi are joining forces again to host the seventh annual Macmillan De’Longhi Art Auction.

This year's event will be held over 5 days and will include a public exhibition at the prestigous Royal College of Art. Pandemonia alongside notable artists such as Jake & Dinos Chapman, Gavin Turk and Rankin are donating works to be auctioned.

The money raised on the evening will help support people affected by cancer through funding services such as information and support centres, phone services, cancer care centres, as well as nurses and other specialist health care professionals.

"Pandemonia & Natalia Vodianova"

Artwork date: 2013
Description: Pigment print 2/20
Dimensions: 55 cm x 52 cm

Pandemonia is a conceptual multimedia artist. Since 2008, Pandemonia’s archetypal images of the modern condition have reached out to people across the globe through the glossy pages of fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vanity Fair, as well as through TV coverage.

Working beyond the confines of the gallery, Pandemonia interacts directly with the public and media by appearing at various society events. The effect on the viewer is contagious—audiences are interpolated into photographers, and Pandemonia’s images are then flooded onto the social networks, blogs, and picture desks around the world. Art and reality become entwined in media feedback loops.

Opening a window into 21st-century society, the work explores the identity and mechanisms of social media and pop culture.
